Chimera

583 Words
After killing my first goblin, I feel no hesitation anymore in my action. I found another goblin and kill it just like how I kill the first goblin. This time however I didn’t level up. I guess the experience needed to level up increased every time I level up. At the 5th goblin, I finally levelled up. I also used this chance to allocate my stats since I haven’t got the time to do so when I level up earlier. I decided to put all my stats into strength and luck as I didn’t need the rest. Strength will increase my attack damage. Intelligence increase my magic attack and my but I didn’t need it. Vitality increase my health and defence; I might need it later but clearly not now. Dexterity determine my accuracy and casting spell speed and clearly, I won’t even distribute any point to this. Agility will improve my attack speed and movement but this is something pointless. I don’t even need to run or outrun anyone since my skill keep me hidden in the dark. Luck is something I might need since I am never a lucky person in life. 「Name: Kage Level: 3 (3% EXP) HP: 120/120      MP: 120/120 Str: 6                      Vit:1                       Agi:1 Dex: 1                    Int:1                       Luk:6 Skill: -Unimportant existence      -knife mastery」 Seeing the changes in my status window, I am very satisfied. My level is now 3 from the initial 1. Although my stats are still lower than average adult but I am making progress. It seems that I can actually clear my first dungeon with ease. I didn’t meet any other person as I dove deeper into the dungeon. There are a lot of conflicts caused by people competing for monsters and items inside. As many people have died in the dungeon because of monster, there’s an equal number of people that have died because of other humans inside. Of course, that it was just human nature being exposed in front of riches. I killed all of the goblins that I met on my dungeon dive. Until there are no more goblins in the dungeon. It left me with no choice but to proceed towards a specific direction. I avoided going here because there is the source of my trauma. I looked into the distance and saw it. The mix of lion and alien monster. I could now see its name on top of its head along with its health bar. 「Chimera」 When I come near it, it suddenly rises up from its sitting position and sniffed the air. My heart tightens for a moment there. I am afraid that I could discover me. Although I was hidden from plain sight, I believe that I could still be found out by the monsters. For instance, if that monster isn’t relying on sight but sound or smell instead. Even the sound of my step could cause me to be discovered by monster with sensitive hearing. As it is trying to sniff around the smell in the air, I stopped all of my movement. I even held my breath for a couple of seconds. Afraid that the smell of garlic from the instant noodle I ate for diner exposed my location. It seems that I was just overthinking as the monster return to sit on the ground again. Or maybe this monster isn’t that high leveled to detect me. I move behind it carefully and gathered all of my strength towards the knife in my hand. *stab* -1 Seeing the damage floating on top of its head, I realized that I have made a big mistake.
