I awoke to darkness and lay still for a moment, basking in Iva's warmth and soft breathing against me, before turning to the bedside table to see what time it was. I had not intended to fall asleep without checking on my parents again. With the time difference, while it was late for us, it was still early evening back home, giving Nik plenty of time to arrive.
