IVA Stumbling out of the room, I ran blindly and breathlessly, as if something was chasing me. I suppose it was... everything I’d spent years running from. My feet barely hit the floor as I reached the elevator. I jabbed the button repeatedly, my trembling fingers slipping over the smooth metal while the numbers above the door blinked lazily, mocking me. I wanted to scream. “Come on,” I hissed, hitting the button again. My pulse thundered in my ears, drowning out my breath--louder than reason. My skin still tingled where Lev had touched me--where his hands held me like he would never let go. My lips burned, swollen from his kiss, the taste of his lips still lingering on my tongue. Every nerve in my body screamed for me to turn around, to run back to him, to finish what I had stopped,
