LEV Sensation came in fragments, thin and translucent like light passing through water, followed by sounds shimmering somewhere beyond reach. I was drifting, and time stood still, only to suddenly blur into the next moment. Was I falling? But there was no ground to rush toward, no wind to mark the descent. Then, images floated past me--a face without eyes followed by hands that almost touched me before dissolving into mist. A voice tried to say my name, but faded halfway through the sound. I reached for it, or thought I did, but my arms were only an idea. And just then, warmth bloomed somewhere far away. It was gentle at first, like sunlight filtering through closed eyelids.
