I fell asleep with Eryn in my arms. It was the best night of sleep I have had in a long time. No one burst in asking about pack business, and I didn't have to worry about my family. Maybe I shouldn't care about revenge. Maybe I should consider this an early retirement. I chuckle aloud. Who am I kidding? I will everyone who has crossed me.
Reaching across the bed, I search for Eryn, but she isn't here. I try not to panic as I dart from the bed. I don't think Theo would come for her now that he has gotten what he wanted, but I refuse to be complacent. Nothing means more to me than Eryn. I will not lose her.
