"Where's Luna?" I demand, turning to my Gamma as he enters the room. Gibbons looks drained, his eyes ringed with dark circles, as he takes his seat to my right. He had texted me earlier about her arrival at the border to meet the "Blackthorn" Luna. "I expected her to come with you."
"Luna Amy went home to rest," he looks embarrassed, as he should be. It was his job to keep her safe, and he has failed me already today by letting that bastard through our gates.
