Finally, satisfied that I wouldn’t draw undue attention to us, I drove to the coordinates Mark had programmed into my PDA and then settled in to wait. The whine of tires and the revving of the engine signaled the approach of a car, and from the sound of it, if the driver didn’t slow down, he was going to need a real EMT.
