It felt like hours, but it was probably one or two. They were in there. Derek opened the door and said Tara and Meredith, we need you. We walked in, and my brother pointed to two chairs and asked us to please have a seat. We both did what he said with a confused look on our faces. Some of the boys here have some questions, my brother said, and since you 2 would be the ones going undercover, and it's your idea, I had the idea to let you guys answer them. OK, we both said at the same time, and one by one we went around the table to those who had questions, and we answered them. Like one of the questions was how we would go undercover, where people would not know it was us. Which was an exceptionally good question. I was thinking about planning a memorial party for Dad, like a 1980s-decade theme party, so we can go to the party store and get a bunch of different party decorations. And with the wigs and etcetera, we can use this stuff to go undercover to where nobody knows it's us. Another good question is, where would we stay? I like that question. I said we had to find somewhere that's not the clubhouse or close, but where you guys can come over without anybody noticing. Like maybe in the mountains said Meredith.? Yes, I said like the mountains that would be perfect, and nobody knows a place where the cells and the mountains would work great. My brother and Derek looked at each other fast and then back at us, hoping that we didn't notice. We just continued going around the table, and they asked, and we answered. Once everybody is done, my brother says Thanks, ladies, you may step out so we can vote. We walked out of the room, and the men voted. We went and sat back at the table where we were sitting, ordered ourselves both a beer, and waited. A little while later, the door swung open, some of them looking mad as they ran out, and some of them hard to read. We just sat there and waited for my brother and Derek to come to us. He walked over to our area. He noticed that our two beer glasses were empty, so he waved one of the ladies over. Please bring them new beers. Derek and I will each have a beer too, my brother said. The lady said, “Come and ride up as she walked away. I looked at my brother and said, “Well, what did they say? My brother said you can just wait a minute; I just need a second to breathe after that meeting, and then I'll tell you. I sat there with my arms crossed, waiting impatiently. I wanted to know if I needed to know if I was getting help or if I was going to do it by myself. If they voted no, would my brother take their side, or would my brother take my mind was going a million miles an hour thinking of everything. The lady brought over 4 beers and set them down in front of us. I was so lost in my thoughts that I almost didn't notice, and I almost didn't hear my brother say a toast to the new partnership, may it go well. May we find everything we need to know, and may the person who did this to our dad suffer 1000 deaths, he said. Here we all said at the same time, holding our beers up, then I noticed that more than our table was holding up their beers too. The four of us tapped our beers together and had a drink. All the tables around us did the same thing. So, I take it that you guys are helping us, Meredith asked. “Yes, said Derek, almost grumpy. I looked at Derek and asked, “What's your problem. Is it that girls are helping? Derek just got up and walked out. I turned around and looked at my brother. What is all that about? I asked Well, here's the thing, my brother said it's not that the females are helping, who's helping, My brother said, That's all I can say without giving up his secret, and I can't do that because he's my best friend, my brother said. Meredith went, ahh, a secret, who is it about? I'm not saying anything, my brother said, slamming his fist on the table. Ok, ok, we both said. Now let's drop the subject and start planning this 80s party. “We can’t,” I said, almost crying again. Why is that my brother asks with a confused look on his face? I looked at my watch and said it's time for us to go down to the funeral home. My brother looked at the clock on the wall, took a deep breath, and said it was time for everybody, we would be back. We all walked out of the clubhouse, and I want to go by car. Derek came over and handed me a helmet and said, “You're riding with me. What I said was with a confused look on my face. Just get on the bike and let's go, don’t want to be too late now, he said. And off we went.
