Chapter Sixty-Five
Bartow and the head of the Tech Department entered Darque’s office at the same time, and noticed frown lines etched deeply into the Director’s face. They sensed he was struggling with what he wanted to say, so they waited silently until he was ready to speak. As the head of their agency, there had been times when he had to consider how much information to give out, and to whom, in order to successfully complete a mission. Darque knew this was not a time to hold back.
“I asked you two to come here so we can work out the details of a plan I have to assassinate the President elect, his wife, and her two caretakers.”
