Chapter Sixty-Eight As he sat at the kitchen table drinking coffee, Darque noticed that the snowfall overnight had left a sizeable accumulation on the landscape. He watched as large, heavy wet flakes drifted by the window searching for just the right spot to land; one more perfect stitch in the thickening, white quilt of ground cover that belied warmth and cleanliness.
