Chapter Forty-Seven
The day passed rather quickly, and Darque was watching the news on one of the many TVs located in the Audio/Visual Department when the station announced that the other Presidential candidate had just made his concession speech. Even though several hours still remained before the election would be officially over, the event was turning into an unbelievable rout. The loser offered Davis his congratulations, and wished him well as Chief Executive of the country. There was more, but Darque didn’t stay around to listen to it.
