The pursuit of Auric was initiated as his car breached the invisible cordon of waiting surveillance vehicles.
Once outside Heidelberg, he headed toward Kaiserslautern, and at that point, Yoda surmised the man was heading for Ramstein Air Base. The base was instrumental to most U.S. military flights arriving in and departing from Germany, and there was a weapons storage facility adjacent to the airfield.
It was the perfect place to detonate a nuclear weapon.
“I believe he’s heading for Ramstein,” Yoda announced. “Make sure you have the appropriate credentials on you when you arrive there.”
The team always traveled with different cover documents that would allow them access into any area they might have to enter, and Yoda’s guess turned out to be prophetic.
