I was still trying to understand what I heard when another shot went off. Louder than the previous one. It made me jolt, looking around. What was going on?
Slowly, I approached the glass window that peeked through the corridor. My hands were shaking as I heard more shots. They gave at least a minute gap before firing again.
My heartbeat had already accelerated. My breathing was loud. I did not want to believe I was in danger. So many times I have been in danger and so many times I was close to dying. Could I not stay away from danger for once?
