Madeleine was woken up by the loud sound of shattering glass. She quickly looked beside herself and saw the bed was empty. She threw the covers off and ran out of the bedroom and down the hallway.
"Christian?" Madeleine called out to him as she walked through the family room, finding it empty.
She heard the sound of something hitting the counter and a slew of curses. She sighed as she slowly walked into the kitchen.
The sight of him on the floor didn't surprise her any. She knew that he sometimes had worse days than others and he had pushed himself yesterday. He had his head in his hands with his knees drawn up.
