Chapter 2: The Bruises

I was talkin to my friends when someone runs right into me.                                                                        "Sorry I was not payin attention to where I was goin " the girl said.                                                              "Yeah you should be sorry nerd" Steven says as I turn to see the girl that looks like the one that Chrissy, Sarah, and Beth were beatin up today at lunch.                                                                                "Look at me" I say to her, but no luck she keeps her head down and answers                                            "Sorry, but I have to go" and runs off. I wish she would have looked up at me.                                            "Who is she besides being called nerd" I ask the boys. Andy was gettin ready to say somethin, but Chris starts to talk first.                                                                                                                                          "That is RoseLilly Feasal the weakest girl in school"

"Why do you ask" Steven says as I look at them and say 

"Remember me walkin outside for sometime to myself. Well I heard screamin, so I went to see what was goin on and I see Chrissy, Sarah, and Beth beatin some girl at lunch and RoseLilly looks like that girl from lunch." Then chris said

"Well stay away from her, she is a stupid girl and a waste of time and space." Then he walked away in the same direction as RoseLilly.

  Chris 

   As Rich, Steven, Andy, and I talkin after school to see what we are goin to do this Friday. My baby sister runs right into Rich.

"Sorry I was not payin attention on where I was goi" she says

"Yeah you should be sorry nerd" Steven says to her and all I can do is watch her to make sure she keeps her head down. Aa of a sudden Rich  says

"Look at me" I know RoseLilly is lookin at meto see if I am watchin her. I give her that look that says 'Keep your head down or else'. Then I notice that she has some new bruises on the back of her arms. 

"Sorry but I have to go" is all she says  before she runs off to her friends 

"Who is she besides being called nerd" Rich asks and before anyone can say anythin I speak up

"That is RoseLilly Feasal the weakest girl in school." 

"Why do you ask" Steven said

"Do you remember when I went outside for sometime to myself. Well I heard screamin, so I went to see what was goin on and I seen Chrissy, Sarah, and Beth beatin a girl at lunch and RoseLilly looks like her" Rich says

"Well stay away from he, she is a waste of time and space " I said before walkin away the same direction as my baby sister went. I also wanted to leave before the boys found out that she is my baby sister. I wanted to see why rose had bruises on the back of her arms. By the time I got to her locker she was not there. So I am goin to have to ask her tonight or tomorrow mornin. 

**Same time at the boys are talkin about her **

  RoseLilly got 5o her locker to see Amanda and the twins. As she open her locker, she tells them that Chrissy and her minions beat her to death if some boy didn't come to the rescue. RoseLilly started to think about the voice and she realized that the voice is no other then rich Chris's friend. Why did she have to run into him oh all days that she gets beat up. RoseLilly tries to say somethin to her parents, but no one believes her so when her family asks about the bruises that she gets from her beatin, all RoseLilly says is that she fell.

**On the way home**

RoseLilly 

 After we say goodbye to Amanda, we start to head home. I started to think 'why are the twins walkin with me today?'

"Hey Mary and Bobbie, I was wondering why are you walkin with me when you ride the bus?" I ask

"We want to walk with you since after Chrissy and her minions beat you up at lunch today. So we are goin to walk with you from now on" Bobbie says 

"And besides we love to spend time with you " Mary said 

"Sometimes I wish that I had a better life then how my life is right now. I love you two though, I just wish that mom,dad,, Chris, and Chrissy would treat me better." I said to the girls

"Well maybe that wish will come true next month on your birthday" Bobbie says as she looks at Mary. As we are walkin home, Chris passes and when he does he pulls over to stop to ask

"Do you want a ride"  in my opinion I would say no thank you, but I know the twin and they will pull me with them.

"Sure" the twins say in unison 

"What about you RoseLilly" he asks

"Sure"i said as I get pushed to sit in the front seat with Chris. All of a sudden Chris brings up what happened today.

"RoseLilly" he said 

"Yeah" I answer 

"What happened to the back of your arms?" He asked and he drives home 

"I fell as I was gettin up from the ground at lunch" I said. I know if I tell him the truth he would not believe me so I always tell him and my parents that I fell, sometimes they dont ask anymore questions. 

"I dont believe you, tell me the truth Rose" Chris says

"If I did would you believe me?" I asked him

"I dont know unless you tell me" Chris said to meas he pulls in the drive way 

"Mary and Bobbie can I talk to Rose in private please?" Chris asked the twins as i start to open my door and they look at me to see if it was ok for them to go and I just nod to them to know that I would be ok.

"Sure" they say and once the twins are out of the truck he asks again 

"Rose please tell me what happen and dont tell me you just fell"

"How can I when I do say how I got the bruises you just tell me that I tell lies all the time" I said to him and before he can say anything I add "Also why do you care you act as I am not here when your friends and Chrissy are around." Then I get out of the truck before he can answer me, then I hear him runnin after me, but before he can stop me I enter my room and as I enter my room I close my door behind me and slide down the door as I cry.

Chris 

 As I am drivin home, I spot the twins and Rose, as I pass them I pull over and ask 

"Do you want a ride?"

"Sure" the twins say 

"What about you RoseLilly" I ask her

"Sure" she says as she is about to get in the back seat, but the twins put her in the front seat with me

"RoseLilly" I said 

"Yeah" she answers 

"What happened to the back of your arms?" I asked her 

"I fell as I was gettin up from the ground at lunch" Rose said 

"I dont believe you tell me the truth Rose" I said to her

"If I did would you believe me" she asks

"I dont know unless you tell me" I said to her as it goes quiet until we pull into the drive way. Then I ask the twins 

"Mary and Bobbie can I talk to Rose in private please?" They look at Rose then say 

"Sure" once they leave the truck I ask her again 

"Rose please tell me what happen and dont tell me you just fell" 

"How can I when I do tell you the truth you just say I lied" she said as I was about to say somethin to her she beats me to it "Also why do you care when you act as I am not here when your friends and Chrissy are around" she finishes as she gets out of the truck before I can answer her. I get out and run after her by the time I get to her she is in her room and I know that she is crying against the door. So I decided to go ask the twins since Rose tells them and Amanda everything.

"Mary"

"Bobbie" I yell as I hear Bobbie yell from the living room 

"In here bro"

"Girls can I ask something" I say as I enter the living room 

"Sure" Mary says 

"Do you know why Rose has bruises on the back of her arms?" I ask as they look at each other 

"Chrissy came up to us at lunch as we were gettin ready to get rid of our trays and asked if she can talk to Rose alone" Mary said 

"All we know is what Rose tells us. That is Sarah, Betg, and Chrissy were beatin her up until someone heard Rose's screamin and stopped them from killin her" Bobbie finishes as I remembered what Rich said about him stoppin Chrissy and her minions from beatin a girl to death. I will have to say thank you to him tomorrow when I see him at school.

"Don't tell Rose that you told me what happened, I want her to tell me on her own. I want her to trust me again since we moved here I have not been a good big brother to her" I said

"Hey bro dont let this get you down. I know that she does trust you it's just hard for her when mom, dad, and you dont believe her when she tells you about the beatin she gets almost everyday" Mary says to me

"Well I just wish that I could be there for her right now" I tell them

"Then go I bet she is on the floor behind her door cryin and needs a shoulder to lean on right now"  Bobbie says 

"So go be with her right now" the twins say in unison. So I got up and ran to Rose to be her big brother that she needs in her life. As I got to her room I knocked on the door, but I got no response, so I slowly opened the door and as I did I find her on the floor behind the door curled up into a ball. I gently picked Rose up and she curled right up to me. So I carried her to bed and as I put rose down on her bed to cover her up. Then she grabbed my hand and said 

" can you stay with me please. I know that you are mad at me for not tellin you why I have bruises on the back of my arms, but give me time to not be scared"

"Ok" I said as I go around the bed to climb in next to my baby sister. As I climbed into bed Rose did somethin that I was not expecting at all. She stated to talk about the bruises on the back of her arms 

"The reason why I have bruises on the back of my arms is because of Chrissy and her minions" so she knows that I am listenin I nod my head.  She continues "Chrissy asked me if we can talk alone and I said sure. All of a sudden Sarah and Beth come out of nowhere and they starts to hit me and I fell to the ground as they are hittin and kickin me, then someone comes and stops them . Then he says 'well what do we have here three against one?' All the hittin and kickin stop. So as they talk to my savior, I get up and run to my locker to get my jacket since I knew i would have bruises on my arms from their beating" 

 "So do you know who your savior is so I can thank him for protecting my baby sister?" I ask

"Yes and no" Rose said 

"Well if you know can I know his name?" I said 

"Dont get mad at me when i say his name" she said 

RoseLilly 

 As i am layin on the floor almost asleep, I feel someone pick me up off the floor. I know it is Chris and so I curled up to him as he takes me to my bed. As he set me on my bed to cover me I grabbed his hand and asked 

"Can you stay with me please and I know that you are mad at me for not tellin you why I have bruises on the back of my arms. So give me time to not be scared" I say to him as he climbs in my bed and I curled up with him and all he says is

"Ok" as I curled up with Chris, I start to tell him about my new bruises that Chrissy and her minions gave me today at lunch.

"The reason why I have bruises on the back of my arms is because of Chrissy and her minions" I look to see if Chris is listenin to me and he nods "Chrissy asked me if we can talk alone and I said sure. All of a sudden Sarah and Beth come out of nowhere and starts to hit me. I fell to the ground tryin not to give into their act and as they are hittin and kickin me someone comes and stops them. Then he says 'well what do we have here three against one?' Alk the hittin and kickin stop, so as they talk to my savior I get up and run to my locker to get my jacket since I knew that I would have bruises from their beating" I finished 

"So do you know who your savior is so I can thank him for protecting my baby sister?" He asked 

"Yes and no" I said

"Well if you know who can I get his name?" He asked 

"Dont get mad at me when I say his name" I said to him

"I will try not to get mad at you or him" Chris said 

"Ok, I think my savior is Rich " I told my brother 

"Ok and I do know him and I also know that he saved you today because he told me and the other two boys" Chris said 

"So are you goin to tell him thank you tomorrow" I ask 

"We will see and now get some rest. I will wait until you are asleep before I go to my own room" Chris said.  So I start to close my eyes to fo to sleep, since I have my big brother here with me.
