Chapter 6Nico waited, and waited, and waited for Matt to come back. At first, he hadn’t worried, but when two hours became three and then four, his belly tied itself into knots. To keep occupied, he cooked. Matt had bought ingredients for lasagna, so he made one, but when Matt still hadn’t come back when it was done, he grabbed his phone.
He walked around in the cabin, searching for a spot where the reception was okay, but ended up having to go out on the tiny porch. When Matt didn’t pick up, he called the station.
