"Ai ji a mu la....?" It occured to him what he was supposed to do at that moment. For the sake of f**k, he had been wasting time for naught. He should be by the river at that moment. He dropped the two adders he had tied together. He bent and picked them again. He was finding it difficultly to knuckle under the appropriate feeling he was supposed to adopt. He then put the tied snakes around his neck as though they were some chain and hastened towards the river probably he would find the lady there. He should impress her. The tongue of the azure was lashing out venoms he couldn't duck. He wished he had some clothes he could wear. He was way too hideous to put on clothes. He had tried weaving leaves and covering himself with it when it turned out too cozy for him sometimes deep into the call of the night. But when he did wake up from his treacherous sleep, all the leaves would had been damped and soaked in the fluid which had dripped from his body. Most times, outta annoyance, he would chew the leaves. He hated having to do something over and over again. He would do just once. If twouldnt be what he wanted it to be, he wouldn't mind anymore. As he kept walking towards the river, he saw something coming towards him. He had seen it before but wasn't sure how long ago. The creature coming towards him was walking on both its legs and hands. Like walking on the four. That seemed like fun to him. He bent down and began to walk on his four too. He put his hands to the earth and dragged his heavy body towards the creature. He discovered that he wasn't comfortable doing that. He decided to go on his knees and crawl towards it. That seemed much more comforting and lovely. That was the best way it could had been. Th creature growled and growled. It was obviously annoyed. He could discern that. The last one which had attacked him did the same thing. But he loved the growling and mimicked it. There was a comforting feeling to it. He took a deep breath and made a crooning in his consciousness. It didn't give him the sound the creature was making. He tried again but what he got next was a blow from the creature. He rolled and fell on his back as the creature tried to balance itself on him. He looked quickly at his chest, the crazy creature with claws like his had left some tracks of gores and pores on his chest. He should find out how strong the creature was. He should fiddle with it some few more times. But he didn't seem to have the time. The creature wasn't in for some crazy games. He could see it. Twas snarling and angry. Its eyes were dark and red. He loved the color mesh in its eyes but couldn't see it clearly anymore as the creature brought its face closer and closer to his. Twas a lion. He took it seriously at that moment and flung the creature away. He heard it hit the bark of one of the neighboring trees. "Mi nle li ku a ti." He cursed. He would heal himself soon but not that time. He should teach that rude creature a lesson that it wouldn't live to tell its kind. He stood. He was taller than he was. Taller than he used to be. His eyes were flaming and the odds of going to find the lady was growing thinner and thinner. It happened that whenever he was cut or had any physical hurt, he would increase in size. Whichever part was affected would drastically increase. But when he did nurse the wound, he would return to what he used to be. The lion was back on its feet. Twas undaunted and strong. Twas 180 cm tall. Its furs were like the home a typical doe would want to stay. The brown leaves which had met with disgraces earlier shuddered and crunched under its limbs. It was such graceful and heavy and ruthless. All the Imp could see was some stray kid who stole out of the shadows of its parent to claim a stance in a world that would never appreciate whatever he did do. He was very pitiful for the creature but it was feeling strong and powerful. It was feeling proud. He could discern. He hated the conflict of interest and irony of it all. "Fi a ki u mi a ta ta." He wished that the lion would understand his language but that was next to a mirage. The lion charged at him again. That time, he didn't bend, neither did he squat. He stood his ground. He knew what the lion would do. It had no other skill but to leap on him. What a shame! It leapt on his chest again. As it did, he didn't let it rest, he held it by the four legs. He let it drop towards the earth, but he didn't let it fall. Hell! The lion was weighty. If it ain't because he was used to lifting of gates, barriers and rocks back in the underworld, he would had tilted, broken his back and fell under the weight of the lion. He could then see why the creature was that proud. He held unto the four for as long as he could. He dangled it in the air for as long as possible, crooning and humming. He was loving the feeling he was having. Then he flung the beast into the far end of the forest as it sank into a pointed peg, reaching out from the end of a grotto. It wrenched and lost its soul to the gullible gloom. He didn't go to mourn it, he ran towards the end of the forest. He was near to it. He must find the lady. He was too late when he got there. He saw the same thing he had seen the last time. A boat. There were two of the creatures on it too. He thought of what to do to gain attention. He wouldn't come there for naught. He raised his hands and waved. Then he did a high pitch shriek, like you've never heard. One of the two on the boat heard and looked behind. He was sure that the creature saw him, because he was still waving. But they didn't turn back to meet him. He would have to stay there for as long as possible. He turned to leave, but as he turned, he felt a blow from behind. He staggered back and helped his body from falling as he sank one of his hands into the sand. He raised his head and looked up. Two lions were standing before him. He fell on his face and began to roll on the sand in lanky laughter. "Lula Lula..." More fun! More fun!
