Chapter 3

Andrea' s POV I cleared my throat, commanding their attention. And just as expected, they all turned towards me. I paused in utmost shock at his facial features. "Damn it!!! I must admit!! This dude is cute!! He looks like a God that doesn't belong to the mortal world. His dark blue orbs that stared at me were perfectly placed, making it possible to have a vast view of the sea. His slender eyebrows added a lot more beauty to his angular face and prominent cheekbone. His dark eye lashes and brown hair made me wonder if he had plastic surgery. "Herk!! No one can be this perfect” little wonder why girls flaunt and kill themselves over him. I shot him a dead glare and took careful strides into the hall. "A…ndrea,” his masculine voice called out, making me halt. I observed him for the last time and spat disdainfully My heart sank into my belly, bile rose at the back of my throat at the sight of the d**k head, who stood elegantly as though he owns the world. He c****d his head and locked eyes with me letting out a wide scornfully beam which faded into a dusky smirk. "My pinky head is now a CEO!" He whispered mockingly loud enough for me to hear, Faked a smile to our both mothers who stood at the extreme end blushing. "d**k head! Stay off! Look I am not ready for all this putrid tantrums" I drawled in between gritted teeth "How foolish of me, to think you have grown– your sloppy brain deserves breast milk and not something this huge. Get your thoughts right, and back off b***h – a candid piece of advice from your big brother" he said playing with my checks I scoffed "big brother hum! One who doesn't know his left from right? I rather be a dejected orphan than to associate myself with your malodorous ass" I spat angrily. My feeble heart sank deep into my belly, I wasn't good at exchanging words with people. I was trained better than to intentionally hurt the feelings of others And that made everyone around me see me as a Prey and an easy catch including Ethan who never fails to rub off his pride on me. I fought the tears that threatened to fall from my eyes, by wearing a very bright smile. The last thing I would want to do is to prove to Ethan that I still had that soft heart that I always had. “Look! Two love birds… they are getting along, they are doing just fine" Mrs. Katherine yelled in excitement. “I always knew they were going to get along, and when the time is right, they will fall in love," my mom responded, giggling. I darted my gaze angrily to my mom, who was still enveloped by the excitement of our bond. And shot her a dead glare. "Mom I rather —" I yelled but halted as the door jerked open. We all turned our gaze to the door to see a young skinny man walk in. "Good day Mrs. 's and sir I am the trainer, where are my clients? '' The skinny man by the door drawled, blinking his eyes at Ethan seductively. I looked at the i***t who spoke and acted like a lady. Chuckled lightly and went back to my gloomy look. Just when I thought it was over, they brought a starving effeminacy to teach me how to walk the aisle with this prideful pathetic wimp. I turned to look at Ethan and as though planned, we held our hands and walked out of the hall without minding the expressions they all had on their faces. “Bu… bu...T but” the i***t shuttered. We shot him a dead glare and stormed out Ethan's POV. I slouched languidly on my bed, gasping out as excitement resonated through my being. My head was throbbing and my eyelid heavy but that didn't stop the flutter that replaced the liquid in my belly. "Finally!!" I muttered in utmost satisfaction. The day I had waited for all my life had finally come and was about to end. Replacing my father as the CEO of the almighty Cruz–Tiago enterprise had been my most desired dream. Dad made sure I got a degree in business management, and never failed to put me through on everything I needed to know about the business he owned with his best friend. A light hiss escaped my lips at the thought of Andrea. I couldn't help but smile as flashes of her smiling face popped into my mind. “She managed to use a bright beam to cover the disgust and fear that filled her heart.” I chuckled loudly, a smug escaped my lips I wasn't oblivious to the fact that she loathes me, and would prefer to see me dead, than work together as CEO of the same company. "Well! That only made me more elated and eager to work with her." I wouldn't say I hate her in return, it would be safe to say I just like to see her cry and angry. And to always remind her that she is no match for me, and put her in her place. Growing up, we were made to see ourselves as equal, but that didn't settle well with me because I was the man, more superior and more valuable than a thousand of her. To me, Women were created just to satisfy the urges of men, and use their slothful body to earn money, rather than trying to compete or drag positions with men, and I never failed to prove that to her. It gives me inner peace to see her tremble and take to her heels whenever she sees me. The effect my presence has on her, give me more reasons to torture her more. "She is weak, feeble and would never have the guts to fight for herself, that is the main reason why I accepted to work with her as CEO when my father proposed" Our parents had tried all they could to make us friends during our childhood, but their effort was futile. Because, it only made Andrea weaker and more scared of me. "Yes! Her fear is what I fed on" I twirled on the bed restlessly reminiscing on all that happened before succumbing to the sleep that engulfed my entire being.
