The Trio are hanging on to a bird. Y/n lazily leaning on its wing.
Weiss: (shouting to be heard) Ruby! I told you this was a terrible idea!
Ruby: (also raising her voice) We're fine! Stop worrying!
Weiss: I am so far beyond worrying!
Ruby: In a good way?
Weiss: In a bad way! In a very bad way!
Y/n: Cmon Weiss, it's not...that bad.
Ruby: Well, why don't we just jump?
Weiss: What are you? Insane?!
She is met with silence; Ruby has already disappeared. And So has Y/n.
Weiss: Oh, you Mother Fu—
Chapter 5: A little Effort!
As Ruby and Y/n Freefall to the sky. Ruby is intercepted by Jaune as Y/n elegantly floats down. Oh can even hear Violins play as he lands in front of Yang and Blake. Yang is definitely impressed.
Yang: nice, points for style.
They first bump as Ruby and Juane fall from the tree with a Roblox OOF.
Y/n: are you two Alright?
Ruby: Y-yeah, we're fine...where's Weiss?
Y/n: I thought she jumped with you.. does that mean.
Ruby: Umm... Yang?
Up above, Weiss is revealed to be hanging on a talon the size of her entire body that belongs to a gigantic Nevermore. Y/n focuses as he waves.
Y/n: Weiss! It's good to see you're—
Weiss: How could you leave me?!
Ruby: I said "jump"!
Blake: She's gonna fall.
Ruby: She'll be fine.
Ren: She's falling.
Y/n: she's gonna die.
Jaune is finally out of the tree, panting until he looks up and grins at the sight of Weiss falling through the air, giving him the opportunity to jump off the branch with arms outstretched and catch her in a slowed-down moment.
Jaune: (smiles at Weiss) Just... dropping in?
Weiss is speechless... and Jaune realizes why when they both look down. And keep falling.
Y/n: she's falling.. again. I got it..
Y/n dashes to a tree. Running along the tree until he leaps in the air. His arms extended as he elegantly grabs Weiss. His wind wings expanding as they make the pair glide to safety. Weiss in his arms.
Y/n: sorry for leaving you, my Bad.
Weiss: you little!—
Weiss sees his face. Admittedly he looks, better close up.
Weiss: *Sigh* just don't do it again..
Juane is hanging from Y/n's Coat, which is long like a cape but covers the body. They land as everyone claps like they watched a birdie in golf.
Ruby: marvelous.
Yang: well done.
The Death Stalker is still hunting Pyrrha, but she manages to land on her side at the feet of the heroes.
Yang: Great! The gang's all here! Now we can die together!
Ruby: Not if I can help it!
She sounds a battle cry and rushes towards the Grimm! Balls to the Wall!
Yang: Ruby, wait!
Y/n; your sister is gonna die.
Yang turns to him with her upset and red eyes.
Y/n: but...I'll save her.
Ruby turns back to the monster and shoots it in the skull, running away from it and sheathing her scythe as the Death Stalker now goes after her.
Yang: (running forward) Ruby!
Ruby rushes towards Yang, but the Nevermore caws above them, flapping its wings and releasing lines of sharpened feathers with points that catch on Ruby's cape and prevent Yang from reaching her, the two girls pinned down as Y/n Yells.
Y/n: Yang Ruby! Duck!
They duck as his blade gleams red!
Y/n: Liberator...Emergence.
Flames emit from the blade as he swings horizontal cutting the Feathers down as he dashes at ruby. Grabbing her and kicking the Feather from her Cape/Hood.
Y/n: don't you know the first rule of Hunter attire?
Ruby: uhhhhhh...
Y/n: no capes.
Y/n and ruby run as others catch up. Grabbing us relics as they desperately make their way to the end of the forest.
An overhead shot shows that the group is heading out of the forest and into another abandoned series of structures as the Nevermore follows them from the air. They spread out when it passes above, concealing themselves behind some of the stone blocks with their allies as it perches on a high column and caws everyone preps to attack. Well except Y/n who's wondering what to eat.
Yang: (annoyed) Well, that's great! We're pinned down.
The eight race over the ancient stone bridge, not noticing the Nevermore closing in on them until it uses its giant wings to shatter the path right in the middle, forcing Ruby, Weiss, Yang, Nora, and Jaune closer to the central collection of columns and leaving Blake, Ren, and Pyrrha on the other side with the Death Stalker. Ruby fires at the retreating Nevermore while Blake is beaten back by the scorpion. Everyone looks around, until they realize.
Everyone: where's Y/n?
Y/n is plummeting to the darkness as he sighs. Thinking to himself.
Y/n: so this is what mom was talking about what she
said to "Get serious" I didn't expect this. Well, I guess I should actually do something. What a drag
I'll put a little effort into it
Y/n extends his blade and slams it into the pillar. Stopping his falling as he runs back up! They feel the pillars shaking as The Foursome attempt to stop the winged beast. Y/n jumps from the darkness and back on the path.
Y/n: I know you guys are definitely gonna hate me but uh, I've been...holding back.
Ruby; what?!
Yang: why?!
Y/n: cause I didn't want to overextended myself. But, I guess nows a better time, can you all provide ground support?
Weiss: we can, what's your plan of attack?
Y/n draws his blade as he flicks his hair back. A Very Joker-esque Mask appears on his face as his hair flares up.
Y/n: I'm gonna tear it's heart out.
Y/n blasts forward! Running along the cliff as the beast slams its claws into the Cliff. Y/n dashes in and delivers a flurry of strikes and slashes! The beast pulls itself off but Y/n has made his mark. Y/n digs his blade into the beast as he looks stern. The beast dives at the team as y/n snaps
Y/n: oh no you don't!
Y/n grabs the top of the beak as he pulls the beasts head Back. Causing it to miss them.
Y/n: shoot it! Now!
The squad aim and fire at its belly. Hitting over and over as it soon bucks Y/n higher into the air. Y/n suspended in the air, soon extending his blade as he rockets down! The beast falling as Y/n aims to meet him! His blade gleaming with a heroic color!
Yang: woah...
Blake: Huh...
Weiss: what a....
Ruby: Awesome!
The blade slashes though the beast as he slices it in half! Y/n lands on a tall pillar overlooking the girls. They see the Man. His coat flowing in the wind. His blade slowly sheathed on his back. His eyes glow red. His hair reverting to his normal bed messy hair as he looks less serious. As the two halves of the bird slam on the pillars beside him.
Y/n: so, ready to eat?
Ozpin: Russel Thrush. Cardin Winchester. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark. (the screen of the auditorium shows each of their profiles as the boys are lined up for the applauding audience to see as Ozpin continues) The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team CRDL, led by... Cardin Winchester!
The audience gives one more wave of ovation, while four students walk up to the stage to take their places in front of the headmaster as their faces fill the screen.
Ozpin: Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR.
Amid the clapping, Nora laughs and gives Ren a hug.
Ozpin: Led by... Jaune Arc!
Jaune: Huh? L-Led by...?
Ozpin: Congratulations, young man.
A grinning Pyrrha offers a friendly shoulder bump to Jaune, but her "fine leader" is knocked over and falls to his butt in front of the laughing audience.
Ozpin: And finally: Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. Yang Xiao Long. (motions over the four as they stand before him) The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. And Y/n Quill had defeated one of the most powerful beasts and Assisted many in this exercise, so he shall join your Team... From this day forward, you will work together as Team KRWBY. Led by... Ruby Rose!
K Stands for Kamui
Kamui refers to the might and majesty of the gods
Weiss looks to her right surprised, where Ruby is obviously in shock as Yang goes over to hug her sister.
Yang: I'm so proud of you!
Y/n: Huh, good job kid.
Ozpin: (amid the last round of cheers) It looks like things are shaping up to be an... interesting year.
