Jackie was getting ready for bed; pulled on pajama bottoms and loosely hung a flannel top about her shoulders. She was in Helen and Clair’s guest room, where she had parked her luggage for the past month after making the decision to rid herself of her husband, Peter. In a crazy, self-destructive move, she had taken the photos that Helen had taken of her urinating, trimmed them to the size of playing cards and, with a big black marker, crudely wrote across each photo: “PISS OFF!” and then across the bottom: “...with all sincerity, Jackie” and then she had X and O-ed each one. With the help of Dory’s list of the Associates Jackie had addressed nine envelopes and put a photo in each.
