Most Milford residents attended a religious service early Sunday morning, so there was no point in wasting time or electricity before then. It also felt vaguely wrong to work on Sundays in general, which was most likely some vestige of being raised in a religious family. Archer’s Pub had a similar idea. Most residents weren’t keen on drinking early Sunday morning, so Margaret, Lillian, and Daniel would meet for a late breakfast while Officer Archer readied the bar. If only that religious family could see him now—spending a Sabbath morning breaking bread with a tarot reader in a bar. His grandmother was probably rolling in her grave.
