Chapter 6Daniel was able to put his cares aside while showing Anna the town. Though she’d visited her aunt in Milford on occasion, she seemed to enjoy seeing all the new buildings and hearing some of Daniel’s personal recommendations. Daniel was greatly impressed by her cutting whit, dark sense of humor, and musical laugh that was nearly infectious. She was hardly the blonde, little homemaker that most men expected her to be. She reminded Daniel very much of Margaret. Though their time together had been brief, he already knew they’d enjoy working together.
