Chapter 5

"What are you doing here?" I gasp. "I um... I came to apologise." "How do you know where I live?" He doesn't answer, just stands there awkwardly.  "Blossy who's the scary man?" Lily whispers in my ear, hiding her little face in my hair. "It's just a boy that goes to school with me. But don't worry, he's not as scary as he looks" I whisper back making her giggle. "Um, I kinda have my hands full but..." I trail off, peering at him. "Yeah I can see that. Maybe I could help?" Taken back by his comment, I stew the offer over. There's no harm in an extra pair of hands right? "Sure." Stepping to the side I notice Jakey looking nervous as Dmitri walks over. "This is Lily, Jakey and Daisy", I say, moving towards my siblings. I watch as he smiles at them warmly. You know, I don't think I've ever seen him smile before but it really lights up his usually solemn features. He kneels in front of Jakey slowly. "My name is Dmitri. Cool pyjamas." Jakey's little face lights up and he starts gushing about his amazing spiderman collection before dragging Dmitri to his bedroom to show him. He looks at me over his shoulder and I shrug with a smirk. What? He offered to help. Watching Dmitri with my siblings is actually really heartwarming. He's so gentle and funny with them and they all love him, especially Jakey. Losing his dad was really hard on him at such a young age so I'm loving seeing him with a father figure, even if it is Dmitri. I won't lie to you, seeing him like this is also really hot. He's goofy and sweet and it suits him.  "Ok kiddos bed time". I giggle when Jakey groans in response.  "Oh come on, one more story!" He whines. Such a drama queen. "You said that the last 3 stories bro." I laugh at his pouting face. "What if I promise to come back next week buddy?" My eyes snap to Dmitri but I don't stop him, he's actually been a big help tonight. "Promise?" "Promise."  Jakey gasps in excitement and races into his bedroom. Taking the twins hands, I tuck them in and kiss them goodnight. They share a room whilst Jake has it's own and I sleep on the sofa. "Thank you for everything tonight" I sit down beside Dmitri at the table beside him. "No problem. I love kids. And those little dudes are the best" he chuckles warmly. A comfortable silence settles over us as I sip my tea. "I'm really sorry about what I said earlier, it was wrong" he stares into my eyes and I stare back. "It's ok. I was being annoying" I mutter making him chuckle. "No you weren't, I was being a d**k. Just the thought of those guys with their hands all over you and then the guys at school, I was just so God damn angry and I took it out on you." I stare at the Greek God in front of me trying to figure him out. Why does he feel so protective over me? And why am I so drawn to him? "Who are you Dmitri?" He doesn't reply, just gazes at me with an unreadable emotion in his eyes. With one swift movement he leans forward, cupping my face and bringing his lips to mine. I instantly pull away, his hand still holding my face as we stare at each other. "I'm sorry" he mutters, pulling away entirely and looking at his hands. Without thinking, I reach up a hand to his chin and force him to look at me, leaning in and pressing our lips together again. The kiss is softer than before, our lips moving gently against one another before he reaches for my waist and pulls me to sit on his lap. I wrap my arms around his neck as the kiss deepens, moaning when he licks my lower lip which he uses as an opportunity to slip his tongue inside my mouth. We fight for dominance, our hands roaming each other's bodies and moaning at the intensity of it. Strong hands slip under the hem of my shirt and run over my back and then around to my stomach and I let out another moan. His hands are both soft and calloused at the same time and the friction of them against my skin sends shivers through me. I feel his fingers slide under my bra, moving to unhook it when the sound of the front door opening snaps us both out of it. There, at the front door is my mother looking incredibly pissed off. "What the f**k are you doing here" she snarls and I clamber off Dmitri's lap, brushing myself off a bit. "Mum I'm sorry, this is Dmitri-" "Yeah I know who he is. And he needs to leave." I look between the two of them with knitted eyebrows. Dmitri shows no emotion on his face helpfully. "How do you know each other?" I quiz. "It's not important. Now get out of my house and don't you dare come back." I have never seen my mum like this before and quite frankly I'm terrified. Dmitri just stands wordlessly, grabs his jacket and walks to the door, giving me one last longing look before he's gone. "Mum what the f**k?!"  "Girl listen to me right now and listen good. You are not to see that boy again, do you understand?" I blink in shock. "No, I do not understand. What's your problem with him?"  "He's dangerous Blossom. Trust me on this. If you get involved with him, he will hurt you." There's finality in her voice that stops me in my tracks. What if she's right? What if he is dangerous? I mean I have so many questions about him it would make sense. "Are the kids in bed?" She sighs and dumps her stuff, kicking off her shoes. "Yeah ma. Go get some sleep, you look dead" I try to lighten the mood and she smiles, heading straight to her room. "Oh Blossom? If I ever catch you with a boy in this house again I will murder you in your sleep." I smirk. "Night ma." "Night baby." I clean up and settle into my sofa bed, quickly falling into a restless sleep filled with purple eyes and angry mothers.
