Elfreda' s POV
As the alpha returned to the base of the tree, Lorena kept a close eye on him. Vera exhaled. He's surrendering."
Lorena was aware of this. Alphas never surrender, not that effectively and not with a female included." She was right when the alpha scent-marked the tree and sat down, patiently waiting for two more alphas to arrive. They approached Alpha Orion very slowly at first, but when he didn't move and didn't appear to be in any danger, they lunged at him.
Lorena recoiled as she watched them assault. She didn't want to see Orion die or get seriously hurt, but she did want the alphas to leave her alone. However, it was evident that he was a skilled fighter. He was holding his own most of the time, and the other two alphas were no match for him. However, he was getting worn out, and the alphas were beginning to bleed, making it difficult to watch.
She gave Vera, who was looking at her with wide, teary eyes, a look. She had never witnessed such violence over something as insignificant as the attention of a woman." We must act because they will kill him.
Lorena would have rather not made a difference. She was aware that as soon as she emerged from that tree, she would be confronted by one or two alphas and would have no idea what to do or where to go. Any good deed is retaliated against.
She looked at Vera. I would like an embrace from you.
"Is now the right time?"
"Believe me. They are after you, those alphas. Your fragrance is areas of strength for so, in the event that they smell it on me, they'll let him be and pursue me all things considered."
Vera shook her head. " No, then; at that point, there is no doubt about it." She threw a rock at one of the alphas from the improvised pocket in her shirt, causing him to stop dead in his tracks. He took a gander at Vera and snarled. In fear, Vera shrank back and closed her eyes.
She deserved no blame from Lorena. His size terrified me. Despite Alpha Orion's larger stature, his wolf was less aggressive. The second largest of the three, this wolf was trying to climb the tree to distract him from the two other alphas, who were still fighting. It had huge black paws and a dark gray coat.
Alpha Orion was able to easily take on the smallest alpha because he had the break he needed thanks to this. The other wolf put up a fight, but Orion stayed with him longer, and the other wolf left, probably thinking that neither of us was worth the trouble.
Sadly, this gave the two remaining alphas a chance to begin gnawing at the tree in an effort to find their prize inside.
He was halfway up the tree when Alpha Orion started to move. Lorena started to panic when she realized that he was after her and not Vera. She was against an alpha. They were serious areas of strength for excessively and predominant and requesting. She would much rather have an amora cuch than an alpha who would likely repeatedly impregnate her and force her to conform to his will, just as Harcolf would much rather have an omega like herself who would force her to bear his pups and then leave her alone.
She looked over at Vera, who was trembling and hurling rocks at her pursuer in a weak attempt to distract him. We have to change and leave this place."
She gave her head a frantic shake. No! Our scent will be even more potent, and I'll be impossible to miss! Lorena, we must split up. If we stay too close, you will undoubtedly be caught."
"No, I can't leave you! It will hurt you!"
As she looked down at the ruthless alpha who was close enough to drag her down, Vera nodded her head. I'll be caught anyway by him. When he does, What could possibly go wrong when he does?
The way Lorena looked at her was like she had two heads. He'll-!"
"Lorena, I know what he might do. However at that point he could not. My dad generally advised me to acknowledge the things that we can't change. There's no other option for us. The more we battle it, the more difficult this whole cycle will be. Lorena, it's time to give in. Please."
Despite the fact that she knew she had to do it, Vera wept at the thought of what might happen when she fell from that tree. She wanted to give Lorena a chance because she was only increasing the danger of the situation by being near her.
The woods appeared to be filled with a very pregnant silence before Lorena could respond as the branches began to squeak. Before falling to the ground and trying unsuccessfully to catch themselves, the two girls gave each other and the two alphas below a look.
When Lorena figured out what was going on, she widened her eyes when she realized that she had landed on top of Orion. She glanced over at Vera, whose alpha was standing over her, and informed her that it would be simpler for her to submit than to run since he had already won.
Lorena felt tears prick at her eyes at the sight, however Vera just checked her out. " You must flee, Lorena. Right now I'll be alright! "Don't cry!"
After giving a nod, Lorena attempted to get back on her feet by rolling off the massive black wolf. The alpha was doing likewise, standing up leisurely and influencing a tad, pulling his emphasis back in on her. Before he at any point got the opportunity to thrust for her, she took off.
Alpha Orion was very irritated at this point. He was actually extremely irritated.
He was enraged that he had been fighting two other alphas over a single girl while standing there under what looked like a Christmas tree. He was enraged that the other alphas thought he also wanted the blonde girl and tried to rip him to shreds over her.
Last but not least, he was enraged at the fact that he had to endure all of this and more in order to plant his seed in a female in order to produce heirs and endure that female for the rest of his life. He cherished a test similarly so a lot or significantly more than most others, however this omega female was simply outrageous. She had far exceeded his expectations, but he wanted a mate who was smart and athletic enough to raise strong pups.
Although werewolves had the ability to scale trees, nine out of ten times they preferred to remain on the ground. Because of that, he paused for a moment to consider whether or not it was worthwhile to pursue a female who was as irrational as she was, a female who was irrational enough to scale a tree in order to avoid the unavoidable fate of being bred by some wolf at some point.
After she had fallen from the tree and landed on top of him, the branch hitting him so hard that he could see stars, he actually hesitated to pursue her down. His wolf, however, practically leaped forward as he observed her flee, forcing him to pursue her. He was certain that a few of the other females would agree to be his mate if it weren't for instinct telling him to just approach one of them in human form and politely ask them to be his mate.
He watched her strip off her garments as fast as possible while running, almost making a fool of herself to move as distant from him as could really be expected. He rolled his eyes, picked up his pace quickly, and he got closer to her. Her wolf was black, just like his, which surprised him. If she got far enough away, it would be hard to spot her.
Obviously she was getting drained from how she was marginally crisscrossing while she ran. He felt a little sorry for her; He had no idea how terrified he would have to be to run continuously for nearly ten minutes or more. She clearly desired to be left alone, but he was even more desperate.
He needed a wife and heirs if he wanted to be king. Aside from that, it meant that he couldn't distract himself by hanging out with other women. Even though he hated to admit it, he would benefit from having a partner, and instead of using random women to escape, he would find a woman who would serve her mate well.
To summarize, he couldn't wait to sink his teeth into that beautiful brunette and make her his forever.
