It's 8pm.
I'm at home, on the phone with Carlos again. We've been talking for about an hour and then he says something that surprises me.
"Yeah. I'm going to the club tonight. Why do you sound surprised? Like I've literally been going for the past few days." He explains.
"Wow. This is... overwhelming. Helen is gone for what? Two days and you're slutting around? C'mon Carlos." I say with concern and disgust.
"Hell no, Blaire. Who said anything about having s*x with women? I just go there and have a drink with other guys like normal people do. You know me better than that."
I hear rustling sound and then he continues, "I'm not some billionaire playboy, okay?" I was taken back with his words.
"Excuse me. What's that supposed to mean?" I ask with a pitched voice.
"Darn it. I didn't mean it that way, Blaire--" I cut him off and throw my phone to the side. Soon after, it rings again and I turn it over and turn to my side.
It rang again and I grab it to cut it but as soon as I saw Craig's Profile, I pause and then pick it.
"Good evening, Boss." I say, rolling my eyes with a small smile across my lips.
"Get dressed. I'll be at your place in a minute." He says briefly and the cuts the call. I was stunned.

Craig's POV.
"So, what's the special occasion?" Blaire asks looking at my face. I remain focused and then replies after a while.
"You'll see." I say simply.
We remained quiet till we reached a familiar spot she knew too well—Jeff's Café. I turn to look at her and then smile.
"Craig, what's this?" She asks with confusion all over her face. I felt the urge to kiss her but not yet.
I step out of the car and turn round to open the door for her. It was a cold evening and having a scarf around her neck wasn't enough. I take off my jacket and wrap it around her. She turns to look at me and I could see her emerald green eyes, innocent and gentle. I trace my hands on her cheek and then place a loose strand of her hair back to its place.
"If I haven't told you enough, I'll tell you now; you're so beautiful like the sunrise and your smile is as reassuring as the sunset." I grab her hands and then we walk forward to the entrance to which had a sign above, adorned with bright lights and designs "Blaire's Cafe".
She covers her mouth in surprise with both hands and looks at me with gleaming eyes. "Happy Birthday, Blaire Roberts. I love you."
She jumps on me with excitement and I catch her with satisfaction. Pride filling me at the very moment as I smile.
"Thank you so much Craig but you didn't have to go through the stress of doing this." She says glaring at my lips.
"Actually, your Dad is behind this. I thought you needed something special and went to seek your Dad's opinion." I say reluctantly, brushing my hands against her lips. She steps on my foot and I wince with fake expression, letting out a small groan as she shuts me up with a kiss before I could finish. She pulls out and the mutters something under rough breath.
"I love you, Craig Winchester." and then she slams her soft lips against mine.
