A sharp voice suddenly cut through the silence, slicing through the fog of my pain. I froze as my head snapping toward the sound. Lord Kyden’s voice was coming from a distance as he was sprinting towards me frantically.
Before I could say anything, a sharp pain crawled in my abdomen and the world spun around me. Soon a pair of strong arms caught me before my head hit the ground and I was pulled against his warm chest.
