Chapter 52

1492 Words

Mira's POV, The air in my room was feeling heavy with the scent of damp stone and last night’s rain mixing in it. I sat on the edge of my narrow bed, staring at the c***k in the wall. Suddenly, a soft knock broke the silence. I didn’t dare to move an inch. My heart pounded as I instinctively covered my stomach, shielding the small bump with trembling fingers. The door creaked open before I could respond and my breath hitched. “Your breakfast, Lady Mira,” the maid said politely, bowing as she stepped inside.
