I just sat there gasping for breath as I stare down into the calm water of the pond, my reflection staring back at me in a panic. Water drips from my face hitting the pond, causing a small ripple effect. It was all too much to take in. And I didn’t know where exactly to start processing it all. “Are you okay?” Hazel asks me gently. I slowly look over to her, seeing her face in a mask of sorrow and concern.
