Chapter 34 — The Stranger’s Warning

360 Words
The man standing outside Ella’s door looked at Noah like he had just seen something impossible. Lucas immediately stepped in front of them. “Who are you?” The man didn’t answer right away. Instead, he looked at Lucas. “You still don’t know the truth?” Lucas’s eyes narrowed. “Explain.” --- Ella pulled Noah closer. She didn’t like the way this stranger looked at her son. “You need to leave.” The man looked at her. “I’m not here to hurt him.” “Then why are you here?” His expression became serious. “Because your son is the reason people have been lying for five years.” --- Lucas’s face changed. “What does that mean?” The man took a deep breath. “Your family didn’t separate you and Ella because of the pregnancy.” Silence. “They did it because of who Noah is.” Ella froze. “What are you talking about?” --- The man handed Lucas an envelope. “Open it.” Lucas looked inside. A birth record. A private agreement. And a document with a signature he recognised. His mother’s. --- “This was never about protecting the Knight family name,” the man said. Lucas looked up. “Then what was it about?” The man’s voice became lower. “Control.” --- Ella looked at Noah. Her heart was racing. “He’s just a child.” The man nodded. “I know.” A pause. “And that’s why they were wrong.” --- Lucas read the final page. His hands tightened. Because the last sentence changed everything: “The heir must remain hidden until the company’s ownership transfer is complete.” Lucas looked up slowly. “Heir?” The man nodded. “Noah is not just your son.” Everyone went silent. “He is the person who can destroy the power your family has protected for generations.” --- That night, Lucas stood by the window. His entire life was built on a family legacy. But now he had to choose. The empire he inherited… Or the family he lost. Chapter 34 End.
