Chapter Nineteen Her head still hurt, and the light wasn’t helping—those were her only thoughts as she slowly woke up. Then an image flashed in her mind, reminding her what had given her the headache. Panicking, she tried to jump up, but her body felt so heavy. To her relief, her legs were free now, but one of her arms had something on it. She tugged at it and gasped, the pain finally enough to make her eyes fly open.
