Chapter 8. -Realization

I spent the day talking with my real father, Azazel. He used his power to make my headache disappear which was pretty cool. I was still processing all the things I found out. Celeste and Tamiel gave us time and went outside. I had so much things I needed to ask him. So I went straight for it.

“Hey where do you live?”- I asked sitting on the couch-

“Uf.. “- He stopped- “I live here on Earth”

“Really? I always though angels live somewhere in the clouds”

“O they do, actually Academy you’ll go to is up there”

“Really”- my eyes widened- “wait why aren’t you up there?”

“I am punished”- He rolled eyes- “when I got with your mother I was banished to Earth”

“What?” – I got up- “that’s not fair”

“Its alright Aide”- He walked to the window and looked outside- “my punishment should be over soon”

“So you’ve been down here all this time”

He nodded.

“Why didn’t you took me than?”

“Your mother has power and she knew where I was, but Celeste and Tamiel she had no idea about them, all up until now”

“O.o “- I stayed silent for a bit- “do you still love her?”

He took a deep breath and came to me “I think I will always love her, she gave me you”- He moved the lock of my hair from my face-

“Hey I am asking myself something since yesterday”

“What is it?”- He sat next to me-

“Your hair and your wings?”- I looked at him- “what happened?”

“Side effects, you see I am not just an angel you heard about The Fallens?”

I nodded.

“I am one of them” – he said quickly-

It looked like that bothered him.

“Are you fallen because of what happen with mom?”

“Amongst other things”- he pulled me and looked into my eyes- “Pay attention darling this is important when you go to Academy under no circumflexes do not break a rule about species, understood?”

“What is the rule?”

“Do not get involved romantically with other ones”

“Angels or Demons?”

“Demons, when you go we will sign you up as an angel, they can’t know about you being a demon or who knows what they will do to you, promise me that you will not tell anyone”

“I promise, but won’t they find out?”

“No, I have a friend, a demon who I used to hang out on Academy, she is a teacher now and she will help you and make sure you learn demon stuff too”

“She will teach me demonic things?”

He nodded

“And we can trust her?”

“A hundred percent”

“When will I go?”

“Tomorrow”

“Then can I go say goodbye to my friends?”

“You can but on condition that I am close by”

“Fine”- I got up and went to my room to get ready-

How does the one say goodbye to everything she knows, everyone she knows? I took black dress but then sat on the bed and started thinking. What should I tell them? How will I tell them? Will Ed be there? I was pissed at him, he literally broke me but then again I wanted to see him. I sent Seth a message to tell Victor to meet me at the bar. I got dressed, picked my hear up in ponytail and went out. Azazel was sitting on the cheer, thinking.

“What are you thinking about?”- I asked standing and the bottom of stairs-

“Nothing”- He looked at me- “You look pretty”

“Thank you”- I smile- “should we go?”

He got up and we went outside to car parked in front. I thought about what should I say to my friends.

“Are you excited about tomorrow?”- He asked while we were driving-

“Kind of I don’t really know what to expect”

“Well when you come they will put you in the room, you will have roommate or two, you’ll meet creatures like you”

“Like me?”- I frowned-“that’s just it I don’t really know who I am anymore”

“You are my daughter”- he touched my palm- “we will not be able to see each other for a while but I am always here”

“What will I even learn there?”

“They will be teaching you how to fly, how to use your powers”

“What kind of powers?”

“So every creature has a power, angels usually have a light power some can manifestate light itself, while demons of course can manifestate fire, there are all sorts of powers but what most of us can do is read the thoughts of other beings, read their energy and use it the way we need.”- He looked at me- “but then again .. There are the ones like me ”

“What can you do?”

“I could do everything”- he lowered his head- “you know about witches right?”

“Tales yes”

“Not really.”- He smiled.- “I was the one who thought people witchcraft”

I took a breath, is he for real?

“When you say you thought them?”- I narrowed eyes-

“I was the angel with a gift for magic”

“You were? I am confused. Aren’t you still?”

“As you see darling I am not quite an angel anymore”

“I am sorry”

“No worries, I think we are here”

“Yeah”- I took a breath- “so you will be waiting here?”

He nodded. I took one more breath and went out of the car and into the bar. Everyone except Ed were there. I was kind of disappointed he didn’t came, yes I know he is cheater and I shouldn’t be thinking about him but I couldn’t stop myself. I sat at the table looking at Steph.

“What are you doing here?”- I stared at her-

“I saw the message in the group so I came”- she answered-

“This doesn’t concern you, go “- I said cold-

“Don’t act like that”

“Shut up Stephanie the two of us are over, we were over the day you decided to sleep with him even though you knew …” – I sighted- “Never mind just go already”

“Don’t mind her Aide”- Seth started talking- “just act she is not here the way I do “

“Seth”- she touched his hand-

Seth moved away.

“Fine, so everyone knows what happened and I have decided, well my parents decided to send me to Europe”

“What?”- Steph looked at me shocked-

“To Europe?”- Victor asked- “But that means..”

“Exactly”- I nodded- “This is goodbye”

“Is there anything we could do to change their mind?”- Seth asked –

“No”- I shook my head- “Honestly I think this is for the best”

“How convenient”- Steph laughed- “Ed disappears and the next thing what happened is this”

“Convenient?”- I looked at her- “Do you know what is convenient?”- I felt the rage building up inside me and I pulled her hand-“Convenient was how every time he was there you were too”

“Aide”- Seth raised voice-

Victor pulled me back.

“What is happening with you?”-Seth looked at me- “you seem different”

“I should go”- I got up- “Guess this is goodbye”

Victor pulled me into a hug.

“If you want we can run away”- he whispered in my ear-

“I wish”- I whispered back-

Seth took me into a hug after Victor.

“What is happening?”- he whispered- “When will I see you again?”

What could I possibly say to her? Never..

“Not sure” – I lowered shoulders-

I quickly hugged them both one more time gave a death glare to Stephanie and went back to Azazel who was still in the car.

“That was quick”

“Well yea I’m not good at goodbyes”

He started the car and drove us back home. On the drive home we were both silent, I guess he gave me time to process things and it was just what I needed. When we were back I found Celeste sitting at the table worried. As soon as I walked in the house she hugged me.

“Wow”- I moved- “What was this for?”

“I will leave you two”- Azazel said and went to Tamiel who was in the living room-

“I am sorry”- she moved my hair looking at me- “for the part I had in all of this. Aide you know I love you even though I didn’t gave birth to you”

I looked at her confused.

“Oh I will miss you”- she hugged me again- “you will come to visit us right?”

“Celeste you are smothering her”- Tamiel came into the room-

“I know but..”- She wiped the tear away-

“Mom stop it “- I hugged her-

“Did you pack your things?”- Tamiel asked-

“Nope”- I looked at him- “Who will take me tomorrow? How will we even go there?”

“We will take you”- Celeste said still hugging me- “We will tell them you are our daughter”

“Ok, well I better go pack”

Azazel looked at me pleased, and I heard his voice in my mind.

>I am so proud of you. They really do love you.

I smiled and went to my room to pack.
