Chapter 11. -Getting used to new reality

The first day at the academy passed, alright I guess, the rest of the day I hang out with Kali and Dorian who we sneaked back in our room. I am saying sneak back because apparently, we weren’t allowed to mix, I mean girls and boys, and they said this place is all about the harmony, yeah right. We were watching some movie Kali insisted on watching. I felt nice hanging out with two of them like they already accepted me, and I liked it. I liked it more than I liked my life on earth, this was something different, it was exciting and I felt like I belong. I don’t know when exactly I felt asleep. The next morning someone touching my hair woke me up.

“Are you awake?”- Kali asked-

“Now I am”- I sat rolling eyes- “where is Dorian?”

“O he had to sneak out before the morning so they wouldn’t catch him”

“o yea I forgot .. Harmony”- I wiped my eyes- “why did you wake me?”

She giggled.

“Ever is here, she just came”

“Really?”- I looked around and saw her-

She was standing close to us.

“Hey”

“Hey”- Ever said smiling- “I am sorry, I told her not to wake you up”

“No”- I stretched out- “It’s fine, really”

Kali sat at the bed next to me.

“So you’re Aideen”- she sat at my bed next to Kali-

“Yea”

I looked at her, she is so beautiful. She is tall, but not too tall, has bright blue eyes and a long blond hair. Her wings were pastel rose, so she looked so sweet and innocent.

“So what are we up to today?”- Ever asked-

“How about coffee first?”- I looked at them both-

“Sure”- Kali got up- “Get ready we will go to have breakfast. Ever did you saw the guys maybe?”

“I saw only Damian”- Ever got up- “So Dorian is back?

“Yeah”- Kali said undressing-“So we are only missing Finn?”

“Well you two catch up I will go shower”

“Ok”- Ever got up-

I went to the bathroom and took a long shower. I put underwear on and went to the room. Girls were sitting on the bed and chatting. I went to the wardrobe and took white long dress, it was a tight dress, but the kind which had the most transparent parts, so the only covered parts were the most important ones.

“I love that piece”- Kali said looking at me- “she looks like goddess right?”

“yea”- Ever said looking at me- “that’s amazing dress”

“Thanks”- I blushed-“will we?”

They both got up and we went to have breakfast at our table. Dorian and one other guy were sitting at the table.

“Would you look who is it”- Dorian looked at us- “Our private nymphs”

“Call me nymph one more time and I will punch you”- Kali said sitting across them-

I just made a face and sat next to Dorian.

“Meet the newbie Damian”

I looked at Damian, he had dark blue wings, dark brown hair and black eyes.

“Hey so you’re Damian”- I smiled-

“I’m pleased to meet you Aideen”- he smiled-

“Same”

We all went and got our breakfasts, afterwards we went out and just got to know each other better. The day passed so soon and I also got to meet Finn. Finn is an angel, so standardly he had blue eyes, blond hair but his wings were pastel blue. Somewhere around the twilight I went out alone. I needed some alone time. Everything was happening so damn fast, and I just wanted to go out and take a breath for a second. I walked to the yard and sat next to a demon statue. What will happen if anyone finds out who I really am? Would they be so friendly if they knew I was angel and a demon? I heard footsteps behind me so I turned around and saw the most gorgeous man ever. He was tall, with blond hair, blue eyes and huge white wings. The feathers on his wings seemed so delicate but on the other hand he seemed so strong.

“What are you doing here?”- He leaned on the statue-

“Sitting”

“Well I can see that, I meant .. I never saw you before”

“I came yesterday”

“Really?”- He sat next to me- “I didn’t know another angel is coming “- he smiled-

“Well here I am “- I looked at the sky- “It’s so amazing how different it looks from here”

“Yeah”- he leaned on the statue- “I am Nathan by the way”

“Aideen”

“That’s a nice name”- he said still looking at the sky-

“Thanks”

“So what do you think of Academy?”

“I still haven’t made up my mind, can I ask you something?”

“Yea”

“What is it like to be an angel?”

“Don’t you already know?”- He looked at me- “aren’t you a one?”

“Actually I have no idea”- I crossed my arms- “I found this out a few days ago”

“How is that even possible?”

“I.. my parents are on earth and I was born there”

“Well that explains it”- he smiled and looked at the sky again- “Its.. I don’t even know how to explain … I guess compering to humans you feel stronger, more powerful but on the other hand unlike demons you have responsibility “

“Don’t demons have responsibility too?”

“They do but it’s all fun for them.. they don’t get it seriously like we do”

“I think I’m starting to get it, thank you”

“You’re welcome”

“I didn’t ask what are you doing here alone?”

“I like to get out and think”

“That’s nice”

“Yeah”

We just sat there, in silence watching the day light fading and turning into the night. After the last light faded I got up.

“I’m going, see you around I guess”- I turned around ready to go-

“Aideen”- he got up too-

“Yes”- I turned back to him-

“This was nice”

“I agree”- I smiled and went back to the dorm-

Kali and Ever were sitting on the floor and watching some movie.

“Where were you?”- Kali asked looking at me-

“Just walking around”

“Do you want to watch with us?”- Ever asked-

“No, I’m just going to crush the bed, feeling so tired”

They went back to watching and I got dressed for bed and laid down to sleep.
