You heard me,...I hate you so much,I hate your gut,you should have died that night, "
"G...grace, what's this all about?,what are you saying?,"
She started walking menacingly towards her, valerie took some steps back in shock she had never seen grace so angry and full of hatred before. She was ready to apologize if need be.
" You should have died of that drug overdose and drowned, that is what a witch like you deserve. You got everything, you are so lucky, always," she threw her head back and laughed hysterically.
"You are beautiful, so intelligent, your parents give you everything, you even had a f*****g fiancee! But me? What about me?," She asked wide eyed.
"Well I got it all now, I'm getting married to kelvin, your kelvin, I'm glad you went into coma when you did, it's two months now, I got him," she said smiling and showing off the ring.
Valerie felt a sharp pain on her head like it would split in two, the room started spinning, voices, images jammed in her head, then it all came back in snatches. The noisy party, the laughter, the drink grace pressed into her hands, how she was feeling so weak and dizzy like now, the room filled with smoke and several guys, five actually. They were all over her kissing and touching her. Grace was at the door watching with her phone in hand filming.
Valerie's face turned pink, then color drained drained from her face. Her whole body shook
Grace's laughter brought reality in,
"I see u remember clearly,"
"How could you...how could you?," She asked groping around blinding trying to hold until something as her legs couldn't hold her anymore.
"You should be dead, but then I'm happy you are alive to see me take over things from you b***h," grace snarled.
Valerie felt a sharp pain on her chest, she held her chest as the room spun faster, soon the ceiling was so high ,she felt like someone in the middle of the sea and she was drowning, she could still hear grace's voice above the waves
"Yes b***h, die, Dieeeeee," she roared in laughter.
Valerie felt her heart slowing down, her heartbeat dropped rapidly, she was gasping for air, the room was getting darker, darkness threatening to swallow her ,she clutched her chest as tears slid down her eyes.
"I loved you," she managed to groan out.
The darkness enveloped her, drowning her in her own pain.
It was easy...it felt easy.
Her heart stopped.

"Valé? Val come on let's go." Grace called out holding out her right hand to the shy Valerie.
Hesitating for few seconds she took some running steps and took grace's hand.
Grace smiled at her as they walked into the party. This was not just any house party, it was a clubhouse.
Immediately they walked in, Valerie was hit with the hot atmosphere and the smell of cigarettes and booze mixed with sweating bodies.
Seemed like the party has been going on for a long while.
She saw grace wave to two girls, whom Valerie recognized as Madison James and Tyler Roberts, they were also students in the college she and grace went. She had seen them hang out with grace on several occasions.
Grace turned to her, unlinking their hands
"I'll be right back," she muttered before slipping into the crowd.
Valerie nodded and watched grace disappear into the crowd of partiers dancing vigorously.
She sighed inwardly.
Well she was alone, and she wasn't even in the least ready to mingle. Scanning the aroom for a quiet corner, she spotted the little bar with several stools close to the counter. The bartender was busy mixing drinks which was arranged into trays and carried off by half naked pretty waitresses.
Valerie started to walk towards the bar as it seemed the only quiet place in the room. Colourful lights were flickering across the room, disturbing her sight. She had to look for a quiet place to sit and send a text to Kelvin, her fiancée, he didn't know where she had gone because grace had asked her not to tell him. But Valerie knew she had to send him a text or he would be worried if he checked on her and she was absent and definitely mad if he called and discovered she went to a club without telling him. All these thoughts where running through her mind as she headed towards the bar.
Just then someone bumped into her. Though it was a small impact ,it sent her falling with her head to the ground, her phone fell off her hand as well.
Everything happened in such a split second Valerie couldn't even scream. She just felt herself sailing through the air. She closed her eyes bracing herself for the impact when she hit the floor. She was rather surprised when a strong hand grabbed her from the middle stopping her fall which would have been fatal.
She opened her eyes to see the most handsome face she had ever seen. He was so tall and his strong hand wrapped around her waist spoke volumes of how fit he was.
His blueish grey eyes stood out even in the dark room as the flickering lights reflected into them.
He stared immensely into her eyes. Valerie knew she had seen this face and eyes somewhere but she couldn't place it.
Realising herself she straightened up , brushing his hands off her waist immediately. She felt a little guilty, no one was supposed to touch her that intimately except Kelvin.
"I'm sorry." He apologized in a deep voice.
"It's fine." Valerie replied breathlessly feeling uneasy. She couldn't wait to leave this guy's presence, he was making her feel things she shouldn't feel as someone who was already engaged to marry.
Kelvin! She remembered her phone.
