Chapter 3

Even though I am banned from training this week I still walk to the grounds with eve so she can scent and find her mate. I pray to the goddess it isn't lance for her sake. "hey Jenna, who is your hot friend?" I hear lance shout as we walk up. "shut up lance no one wants to talk to you, she is here to find her mate." lance smirks and walks up to us and puts his arm around eve's shoulder. "oh I will give her something to mate alright." as he slides his hand down to her ass. as eve tries to shove lance away, he is all of a sudden shoved across the training field as Gemini stands in front of Eve. "MINE, MATE!!" he growls loudly. "touch her again without her permission and I will break you, got it." Lance gets up angrily. "why I ought to..." he says as he comes towards them both. "YOU OUGHT TO WHAT, LANCE" a growl comes from behind us. It's Remus eve's dad, I should kick you out of here permanently for putting your hands and saying such things to my daughter, but I won't because it seems her mate Gemini has handled it accordingly. I assume there will be no further problems here. Lance nods his head and leaves the training grounds in defeat. I look at my best friends and am smiling ear to ear. I can't believe my training best friend and my bestie are mates. I tell them goodbye and give them some much-needed space to get acquainted and believe me they weren't wasting any time. I take off running back towards the ridge where I first saw and met my mate. but what pack could he have come from there are no packs that are close enough to our territory to just be on a casual run? "A rouge!" Luna shouts suddenly in our head, our mate is a rouge it's the only explanation. "it's ok luna" I say trying to soothe her. she was right it was the only logical explanation, but he deserves to be heard out before we reject him. All of a sudden I feel something hard smash directly into my rib cage and we fall from the cliff above. the last thing I remember before passing out was looking up and seeing lance staring down at me. "but why". I wake to the eerie sounds of rogues howling into the chilly night air. I sit up and I am in human form. my head is throbbing and my body aches, but the rogues are closing in on me and I can't stay here. I stand and force myself to shift. luna is scarred we have never been out of the territory with our protection before, and never this deep into the forest where the rogues like to roam. "run luna, run!" I shouted in my head. we run for what seems like forever we and I can't go any further. this is it they are going to get me, I faint and pass out into the river where it rapidly carries me further downstream. I wake up curled up next to a nice warm fire. I am wearing a long baggy shirt and sweat pants I sit up on the bed and look around. I am in a one-room cozy cabin. I go to stand and wobble before sitting back down. "I wouldn't suggest walking until you get some food in your system and then we will take it slow" I heard a strange gruff voice say. I turn and see him tall and very well built. he has jet black hair and hazel eyes. "just then luna wakes up in my head. "mate he is here." all I can manage to stutter is "mine". he laughs and grins from ear to ear. "you don't know how happy I am to hear someone say that." I smile. "my name is Jenna, what's yours?" Please to meet you he says. "I am Xander." "Jenna what happened to you, I found you in the lake not far from my cabin." I was being chased by rouges and passed out from exhaustion I guess and landed in the river and washed downstream." but how did you get into rogue territory and why were you alone." I was pushed from the ridge by one of my pack members and he left me there. he doesn't really like me." he what Xander shouted" wait until I meet this jackass he has another coming putting my mate in danger. I smirk I loved that this man was already so protective of me. he walks up and puts his strong arms around me and pulls me into a tight hug. as we stare into each other's eyes before I can move away his lips come crashing into mine and I close my eyes and let this man ravage my mouth. I open my mouth inviting him. as our tongues dance around in our mouths. as we break apart to catch our breath. we should probably be getting back home. father will be worried I have been gone for a whole day after all. Xander turns to look at me shocked. "A Day!" Jenna you have been out for a solid week. "wow!" I say shocked. and we are a week away from the ridge you fell from. Then we should plan to leave for pack lands first thing in the morning father must be having fits. sounds good to me gives us more time to get to know each other. why don't we let our wolves out to get better acquainted sounds great race you outside. I shout as I run for the door. shifting into luna I chase my tail for a bit when all of a sudden I am tackled by a big black wolf with red eyes. Bloodthirst was a tad taller than luna. we romped, hunted, and chased each other through the forest all day. when we came to a clearing where a meadow and a beautiful lake set. the moon was bright and full and at the highest point in the sky leaving its beams shimmering across the lake. as we laid there looking out at the lake an apparition started to appear from the moonbeams and towards us walked a white ghostly figure. "I am moon goddess Solis." Because you two were meant to be joined as one. the moon child princess Luna and the rogue prince bloodthirst. "what?" we both exclaim looking at her bewildered. You luna are the direct descendant from myself on your father and mother's side they are both moon goddess bloodline which is how you are pure white. and bloodthirst you are a hell hound and demon dog as they are also you called you were born to be mated to the child of the moon and be her confidant her protector. I am sick of being called a demon dog. what does that even mean? you have the abilities to possess fire if wielded right but if you don't use and unlock your gift by your 20th birthday your powers will be lost forever and you will be just a regular were. but moon goddess I am already eighteen. then you haven't much time you must leave soon to find Daimen he and his wolf aero will help you unleash your power. is he a hell hound too, no my son, but he is an elemental wolf and knows all about hellhounds. well, Jenna then I guess I will take you home and then immediately head to daimen and will return upon my training completion. no Xander we are mates I will make this journey with you. father has waited this long he can wait a little longer. Know that this is the best option for you both to stay together you are stronger together than apart. but also know this means you might not see your pack and family for at least another year. by this time they will assume you are dead. that is a risk I am willing to take, I just feel like I can not be away from Xander right now. Xander looks at me I am glad you said that Jenna because I really didn't want to leave you for any period of time. well, I bid farewell, for now, I will return again on the next full moon. You will find Daimen and the base of the mountains to the west. she says as she fades away. we run home to get some much-needed rest. once we make it back to the cabin as we are getting ready to lay down Xander asks me. Jenna can we sleep together, I don't want anything other than to sleep cuddled next to you. yes, Xander, I would love that.
