We were finally heading home after all this time I thought to myself as we walked along the path. I couldn't help but wonder what home would even look like after all this time. I had been gone for nearly two years. Mom was going to be so surprised, dad never told her because he didn't want her demeanor to change around Mavi's and he wonder what's up and try to use his alpha command on her to spill the beans. We all hoped that Eve's father got the message and was able to round up some of our warriors to help us fight Mavis and his minions, I wasn't even going to dignify him having a pack they were nothing but filthy rogues and I was going to kill every single one of them that didn't bow down to me. I could feel my wolf's anger rising as she thought about everything these evil wolves put my pack through and they were going to pay. Damn. I shook my head Luna was pissed, like really pissed and I was having a little trouble reigning her in, I have never had trouble with her she had always given me full control.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked over to see Xander staring down at me. Are you ok, Jenna? He questioned. Yes, Xander, just for some reason Luna is very agitated thinking about what those rogues did to our pack she is fighting me for control and I don't know why she is so angry. After we got about halfway there we decided to stop and rest for a while, we set up camp next to the river I washed down. Then it dawned on me why Luna was so pissed this was all Lance's fault it was he who pushed me from that cliff that day and he is the one who let Mavis and his pack into our lands he was a traitor and I knew I would show him no leniency for his crimes. His punishment would be death and nothing would change Luna's mind.

As we were sitting around the fire finishing up the fish we had caught for dinner. Out of nowhere, Darius was blasted into the river. The rest of us quickly shift into our wolf forms because it heightened our senses even more. Luna begins scouting the tree line, smelling to see if she can smell whatever is out there. what is it? Luna, I ask in our head. she shakes her head in response. Darius comes growling from behind soaking wet. 

Bloodthirst gets tired of waiting and just charges into the darkness. BLASTO KABLOOY!! and out of nowhere, Bloodthirst was hurdled into Eve's wolf both of them landing in a heap on the ground. I mindlink them. Are you guys ok? They both nod their heads and start to untangle themselves and get up.  I then mindlinked Artemis, if I shield you do you think you can get an attack on it. we can try Luna, he responds. I nod. Closing my eyes and focusing on finding Artemis's energy I project my shield energy onto him. I can sense enough now to know it's a female. Luna I am going to Bloodthirst shouts in my head. So I extend my shield onto him as well. I have gotten strong enough to shield three people at a time if they were in close proximity to one another. Oh so two of you are going to try at once we hear her say before she cast another spell trying to target them both. Lighting Fury! Lighting bolts strike the ground all around Bloodthirst and Artemis, but they are untouched. She gasps in shock catching her off guard allowing Bloodthirst a chance to attack the first Firebolt! An arrow made of fire hits her and knocks her down. Then Artemis uses his aire bubble to trap her. We shift and redress.

Who are you and why did you provoke us, unprovoked witch! I snarl at her. My name is Nettie and I would hardly call it unprovoked considered just a week or so ago I was attacked by a filthy bunch like you for nothing other than minding my business and forging for different plants to make potions. What are you talking about? I look at her confused. We just got here today. So you are not with the wolves that live upon the clifftop. No, not technically. I tell her and now she is the one with a confused look on her face. You see Nettie I am the Alpha Princess and I disappeared two years ago and everyone thought I had died. While everyone grieved their future alpha's death and a traitor in my pack let a rogue pack in and for the last nine months or so he has run it as his own and turned any members who disobey into pack slaves or worse killed them. We are heading there to hopefully take it back. We are hoping when we get there we are going to be helped by a few brave members that are ready to fight back with us. If you promise not to attack us anymore we will let you free from this prison, but I promise you if you attack again you will die. I am done f*****g around, I growled out. Or should I say more Luna growled out. I shake my head again fighting her to gain control again.

Since you are not with the ones who attacked me I promise if I am freed that I will not attack anymore, what's your name by the way? I am Jenna and this is my mate Xander his beta Darius and my beta Eve, and last but not least my father Aifreed. Did you say Aifreed?! Like the Great Legend Aifreed the alpha known as the first to help witch kind, and contracted a peace treaty for all packs and witches to live peacefully among one another. I looked at my father with a puzzled look. What is she talking about father? I question. 

Yes, I am that same Aifreed. Years ago I convinced the other packs in this region at least to sign a peace treaty with the few witch covens around here to live peacefully among each other and help each other out. With rules and regulations of course and as long as those guidelines weren't broken then the treaty would remain intact. Yes, Nettie nods. And do you remember the name of the Witch you helped in the coven closest to your lands? I believe his name was Natham and he had a wife her name was Natalia. But tragedy struck their coven when it was attacked Vampires our pack was also being attacked at the same time. The Vamps weren't happy that I and Natham had come up with the idea of a treaty. Unfortunately, we didn't make it in time to help them out by the time we got there everyone who lived had fled and we had no way of finding them. All we could do was properly and respectfully take care of the dead. So we buried the witches and burned the vampires to make sure there was no way they could be brought back to life and among the lives, we buried that day were Natham and Natalia. As my father finished telling us about the witches and the treaty we heard sniffling we look over to see Nettie wiping her tears away. It's nice to hear my parents were properly and respectfully taken care of in their deaths thank you for that Aifreed. Aifreed looks at her in shock Nettles is that you, you survived! My father paled like he had seen a ghost. Yes, Sir, except I don't go by Nettles anymore it's just Nettie.

As we all gather back around the fire and get ready to settle down and get a little shut. Nettie asks me for a favor. Listen Jenna I am still searching for those Vamps that killed my family and coven members. I have a few members that survived that helped take care of me, I could get them here and we could be a part of your alliance to take out these wolves who have invaded your lands. I could have them meet us wherever you plan on making your entrance. It's the least I could do for all your father's gratitude towards my kind and my coven, and for my parents because I know they wouldn't hesitate to help out. I just have one favor to ask if I do this for you if I ever find the dirty Vamps that did this to my parents will you lend some of your warriors to help aid in the revenge of my parents. I sit and think about the deal she is offering me, and look towards my father waiting for him to answer. He shakes his head at me. This decision is your sweetheart, yours, and Xanders, and if you want you could even include your betas input that's what they are there for. I am not going to be around forever to help you make these decisions.

We think it's a fantastic idea Jenna we could use all the alliances we can get, and more with powers Mavis won't stand a chance. I look to Nettie. Ok, Nettie it's a deal, but do you think you can get them here in time. They would have to meet us at the foot of the cliff in the west woods on the night of the full moon. Oh yes, I can have them there in no time, they may actually be there waiting on us. How will you get in contact with them? I ask as far as I knew witches couldn't mindlink or anything like that. She smiles back at me my witch familiar Aires will deliver a message by airmail, she giggles.  She makes a cawing sound and a beautiful raven lands on her shoulder. Aires I need you to deliver this to Fenix and Felix. Make haste my friend and she sends Aires off into the night air.
