Rowan had felt her before he could see her. Her scent of wisteria and pine had engulfed his senses, even when his lips had been on Jenna’s skin, breathing her in. At first, it had irked him, unnerved him that he was dreaming of Ophelia’s scent, her presence, while he was kissing another woman. And he had then heard her footsteps, even if she had tried her hardest to not be seen or heard. She had seen him though.
