Seeing the tension on Malik’s face, Yasmin smiled.
“Relax, Mal. Nothing bad has happened to Isha. It's good news,” Yasmin said without the heart to make Malik tense.
Instantly, Malik breathed a sigh of relief.
“Thank goodness. What kind of good news do you know, Yas?” asked Malik while packing up some writing utensils he had used to make plans with his partner.
“She's studying in the capital. In the accounting department,” Yasmin replied.
“Oh, yeah? Good, right? Her dream was to be a bank employee. They say bank employees are beautiful, so she wanted to become a bank employee to look beautiful,” Malik said with a smile when he imagined how innocent Isha was then.
And Yasmin’s heart sank when she saw a tinge of happiness and pride when Malik told her about Isha.
