Something didn’t sit right with Malik when he remembered that there were rumours about his wedding plans. He didn’t even have plans to get married anytime soon. Let alone marriage, and Malik had no close friends.
“Did you meet Isha, Mal?” Aminah asked when they were on their way from the market.
Malik nodded.
“Did you greet each other?” Aminah asked again.
“Yes. We greeted each other normally, just like before,” Malik replied again flatly because his mind was filled with gossip about his wedding plans.
“Does that mean you’ve gotten along?” Aminah asked curiously.
“Didn’t we get along all this time, Ma’am? We never talk like we used to because we never see each other, Ma’am.” Malik replied neutrally.
“It’s good that you’ve made up with each other,” Aminah replied wisely.
