The moment I stepped into the bathtub, my skin flinched at the temperature of the water, and I hissed softly. I lay down in the bathtub, letting the water cover me and listening to the soft sound of running water. I let myself sink deep till the water level got to my ear. The sound of water filled me ears, muffling out every other sound, and at that moment, I felt at peace. Immediately, I closed my eyes, and memories of what happened at the hospital started flooding my mind. I still remember the sterile smell of antiseptic and Sarah’s calm and comforting voice.
