“What’s wrong with you? Why are you sitting in the room all day?” Eric asked me as he strapped on his watch in front of the mirror.
Peeling my attention from the window, I shook my head and squeezed out a small smile. “There’s nothing wrong. I just want some time to myself.”
“You’re weird, Mia. But, at least you can’t get threats when you’re at home and not outside asking for trouble,” he replied as he wore his suit jacket.
