The week had been full of progression on our building. That should’ve made me feel great.
But I didn’t feel great at all. Even though nothing had come from Niko or Zurie, there was still something niggling at me. It was as if the silence was just as bad as the accusations that had been hurled at me.
I knew Niko Armstrong wasn’t going to just back down and let me and my brothers go. He had what he felt like was ammunition against me, and I knew with certainty that there would come a time when he would use it. But he would absolutely need Zurie if he was going to take that route.
