  Ava groggily opened her eyes, her head pounding like a drum and her mouth dry as the Sahara desert. She slowly sat up, realizing she was still in her crumpled clothes from the night before, her hair a tangled mess. She rubbed her temples, trying to remember the events of the previous night, but her memories were hazy and unclear. As she stood up and began to get ready for work, she couldn't shake off the feeling of embarrassment that lingered in her mind like a bad hangover.
