One hour earlier. The Fiona sat motionless on the water, and Landon Hale stood on deck like a statue carved from stone. His dark eyes tracked the fireworks blooming over Crestport Bay, and the faintest smile curved his lips, soft, almost tender. Fiona saw it and flushed pink to the tips of her ears. She hooked her arm through his, her voice trembling with excitement. "Landon, thank you for the fireworks. I'm finally... going to be your bride."
