Thankfully, Nick had a hook-up with a Medevac helicopter pilot. They made it to Gray’s secluded house in the woods in record time. As per agreed on the phone, Zeke met them there.
When they landed on the large back property attached to Gray’s home, Zeke was already waiting for them.
The tall, beefy man had a large satchel draped across his body. Skylar was happy to see her sister standing beside him.
“Who is this guy?” Zeke asked, following Nick inside the house, “he looks familiar.”
“Dr. Gray Hart, a nuclear physicist,” Skylar answered. “s**t, I know him. What the f**k happened?”
“Jury’s still out on that one,” Nick answered, shooting an accusatory look toward Skylar.
