Chapter 59
The car veered forward in an uneasy lurch. The green automobile had just tapped their back bumper with the front of their own.
“I’m sure you won’t be surprised when I tell you that I don’t know tactical driving.” Gray was surprised that his voice was calm. In reality, his wolf wanted him to leap out of the moving vehicle to tear their attackers to shreds. “They’ll run us off of the road.”
“Well, you can’t exactly pull over. We’re about another fifteen minutes out. This way is way longer than taking the highway. Accelerate.”
Gray floored the gas pedal. The throttle launched both of them into their seat, imitating their ride on the roller coaster earlier.
But this kind of adrenaline wasn’t the good sort.
It wasn’t the type where you knew you’d be safe.
