Alexa sighed as she stared at Zeke.
“You need to eat something,” Nick said, his gaze on Zeke’s comatose body.
“I’m not hungry.”
“I didn’t ask, Alexa. You’ve pushed yourself with barely any sleep or food for the past two days. If Zeke survives whatever you put in him, we’re going to need to protect him more than before.” He motioned for her to follow him. “Come on.”
She didn’t want to leave Zeke’s side. Her lioness argued with her to stay by their man, but Alexa knew Nick was right. If she didn’t eat, she wouldn’t be able to protect him if danger came calling.
