Chapter 2

1225 Words
In the church, Liam stood with his fists clenched and his jaw set in a rage. He couldn't believe his eyes that the woman before him just ran out in front of his men and the entire church. How could she humiliate and shame him like this? Liam did not tolerate disrespect from anyone. The priest's words came to an abrupt halt as the entire congregation turned to view the scene. Liam had always been the kind of man who lived life on his own terms. As the heir to a vast fortune, he had grown accustomed to a world where he called the shots. So, when his father dropped the bombshell that he had to marry the daughter of Mr. Parker or risk losing his inheritance, Liam's response was a begrudging agreement. Marriage was never in his plans, but the allure of the wealth he stood to inherit proved too tempting to resist. In a typical act of rebellion, Liam never bothered to find out who the girl was. To him, it didn't matter. He saw the union as a necessary transaction, a means to an end. His strategy was simple, get married, enjoy the privileges, and then promptly file for divorce when the time was right. His identity had been hidden from the public eyes for years due to his stay in Italy and now that he was back he still wanted to keep it that way, he had decided to lie that he was representing himself but he wished he had truly sent someone to represent him and not show up instead. His anger flared as the guests gasped in shock, and a murmur of disbelief rippled through the congregation. The humiliation was unbearable. At that moment, his carefully constructed plan crumbled to pieces. Who did she think she was to defy him, to disgrace him in front of all these people? He turned to his men, "Find her!!!" he ordered, his voice low and menacing. His men nodded, rushing out in the direction Olivia had run through. Liam followed suit, he couldn't remain here for one more second. As he stormed out of the church, the guests watched in stunned silence while his driver shielded him. "Please hold on, it is clearly a misunderstanding," Mr. Parker, Olivia's father yelled at him trying to catch up with him. “Please don’t inform Mister Carter about this, just wait a bit while we sort this out.” "Please don't leave, my men will find her right away," Mr. Parker pleaded but Liam paid no attention to him or even spared him a glance. Liam got into his car as his driver started the engine and zoomed off. * * * Hours passed, and the search for Olivia yielded no results. Liam had called his men severally to know the update but the feedback was the same, "Boss, we haven't found her but-" He smashed his phone on the wall frustration gnawed at him as he clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white. He needed them to find her, how hard could it be to find her? She needed to be punished for humiliating him like this, for making him look like a fool in front of so many people. "They will find her boss, she couldn't have gone far," Jayden, his bodyguard said, going to pick up his broken phone on the floor and place it on the table. "Should I bring one of the girls? It will calm your nerves," Jayden suggested. Liam sat down on the couch, he ran his fingers over his hair thinking about his bodyguard's suggestion briefly, maybe that was what he needed. He had drunk a bit but it didn't quench his anger, "Let her in," Liam ordered. Jayden nodded leaving the room, he came back in with a young lady and left her in with Liam. "Your stomach on the table, spread your legs," Liam ordered getting on his feet and unbuckling his belt quickly. She nodded her head like this was a usual routine for her, she pulled off her gown revealing her nakedness but Liam barely spared her a glance even though she tried to be seductive about it. She rushed to the table, lying on her stomach, and did as she was told, "Wider," Liam ordered standing behind her as he brought out his length, stroking it slowly. "Is this okay?" She asked, spreading her legs wider but he gave her no response. Liam placed his hand on her waist pulling her closer as he plunged into her without warning, he pulled out and plunged into her again this time harder. The lady gasped shocked by his aggression, she jerked forward trying to adjust herself properly but Liam held on to her waist pulling her back and holding her in place as he began to thrust in and out of her repeatedly. 'No,' he heard a voice in his head as he squeezed her waist tightly, his fingers digging deep into her skin. 'I can't,' the voice got louder in his head. He pulled out quickly, shaking his head as he tried to get the voice out of his head, "Get out," he said in a low voice. What was happening to him? He questioned putting his length back in his trousers. "What?" She tilted her head to face him. "Should I open -" "I said get the f**k out," Liam yelled frightening the lady and sending shivers down her spine. She rushed to pick up her clothes on the floor and dashed out of the room terrified. * * * The night had grown darker, and Olivia's frantic footsteps echoed through the deserted streets. She had been running for what felt like hours, the cold wind sinking into her skin. Her heart raced with a mixture of fear and regret. She knew her father must be looking for her now and her punishment would be more severe than being locked up in a room for a week, she couldn't go back home now. Her eyes darted left and right as she tried to walk faster, but her feet were slowly starting to ache, she crossed the street relief finally washing over her face as she stood before a door. She exhaled deeply and hesitated for a moment, her trembling hand raised to knock on the door. The door to her ex-boyfriend's house. It was the only place she had thought of running to but now as she stood before the door, she feared he wouldn't help her. She had broken up with Mark five months ago, it was over a silly fight because Mark seemed more invested in his work than in their relationship, she had foolishly told him to choose and he never called her back that day. The next day she sent him a breakup message. [The least you could do was call Mark, it's obvious you don't care about me or our relationship. I don't want to be your girlfriend anymore, we are done, Mark. Don't ever call me, in fact delete my number.] The door opened slowly on the second knock, revealing Mark's tired and weary face. He yawned deeply but his eyes widened in surprise at the sight of Olivia standing there, disheveled and desperate. "Olivia?!" he said, his voice a mixture of disbelief and resentment.
