Dan was still kneeling until the young man asked him to stand and face him which he did. "Adola is a key to your path. Go back to her and take her alongside with you" said the young man. "My path to where. I want to know where I must go" said Dan. "You must go to Ifite. That is where you will go. And when you are there you will tell the Ifites to denounce their god and follow me for I am the god of destiny" said the young man. "The land of Ifite is filled with dangerous beings. Why would a lady be my key to the land of the forest? Why not men with big chests and sharpened swords? Why a mere woman?" asked Dan. "Because you have questioned me you won't be able to speak again until you set your eyes on Adola once again" the young man spoke and disappeared. Dan found out he was no longer able to speak. He cleared his throat all to no avail. He decided to go to the shrine of the great prophetess of Randa. ********** During the of Dan's journey the King of Randa was preparing to pay a sacrificial visit to the land of Ifite. This was normally done to avert the anger of the ifites. If the ifites attacked your kingdom all living things would perish. The elders of the Randa spoke against this visit implying that the god of destiny had appeared to so many of them. Once they were gathered in the palace angrily objecting it. The king of Randa sat on his throne and listened to one of them by name Caza. "The god of destiny appeared to me and to my wife in our dreams and told us to desist from paying dues to the land of Ifite. When I asked him why he said he is not pleased with Ifite and will send a helper to destroy the land of Ifite" The king shook his head unconvincingly and said, "That isn't enough. it could be a mere dream you had" "And my wife having the same dream? would you call it a coincidence?" Asked Caza once more. The king kept still for a while before he said, "Who else has the god of destiny appeared to?" some raised their hands and he said again, "Why hasn't he appeared to me?" "The gods are wise my lord. We must not question them" said Caza. "Caza," the king directed his look on him, "Would you say I'm not worthy enough to have the presence of Anoshi, the god of destiny?" "I wouldn't dare say that. You are the king of Randa. The gods regard you. They know you" said Caza. "I'm not convinced and as your king I command that the sacrificial visit be paid to Ifite without delay" The king finalised. ********** In the shrine of the prophetess of Randa. She was greatly troubled. "What is it mother?" asked Adola. "The king of this land is the problem of this land. He will go against the gods and humans.
