The king of Ikotu got down from his horse and approached him where he knelt. "I can remember quite alright that you are the cause of all that have happened in Bami and Ikotu. You are desperate for power" said the king. "No. I was desperate for love. It wasn't power that I sought. I sought for true love but I sought it wrongly. I'm on my way to Bami. Allow me complete my journey" begged the wizard. "How come you v'e become soft and remorseful. The Queen of Bami will have your head if she sets her eyes on you" said the King. "Then I will gladly give her the honor of having my head" said the wizard. "What if you give me the honor?" Asked the king and before the wizard knew what was happening the King had separated his head from his neck, picked it with his left hand and said to his soldiers, "I will present this to the Queen of Bami and by so doing I will win her heart and become the king of both Bami and Ikotu" he laughs heartily as they continued their journey as they continued their journey to Bami. Moved with anger, the two sons of the king of Ikotu rode straight to Bami. Learning also of their Father's involvement in the death of their older brother, the late crown prince of Ikotu and without asking more questions rode off to Bami. In Bami and inside the cell, the Queen sat with her daughter while Kaka was in the next cell. "Mother, do you approve my marriage with Kaka?" The princess asked. "Yes. Right from the time both of you were mad I always had this premonition that you belong with each other. I believe that Kaka and you will give birth to a new Bami" said the Queen. Her daughter kept looking at her. "Mother you are wonderful" she placed her head on her shoulder and cried. "Do not cry daughter mine. I believe it will soon be over" said the mother. In the throne room of Bami, the King of Ikotu was seated on the throne with all smiles. One of his soldiers ran in and happily announced that the King's sons were back from their long trip. The King was happy. He loved his sons so much. He ran out to meet them outside but on getting closer to the two angry brothers they drew their swords and cut him down. The king laid there while the army tried to react but the sons were ready to die. The brothers made sure the king was dead while the army of Ikotu continued to draw closer to them. One of the soldiers screamed and said, "these are the sons of the king of Ikotu. If we kill them there will be no more hope for Ikotu" The soldiers all bowed before them. The brothers commanded them to release the Queen, Kaka and the princess. They were released and Kaka still saw more reasons to believe that good deeds and peace are the keys to true living. He never regretted never using his powers. **** The great wedding took place and Kaka and the princess became husband and wife. The two princes of Ikotu went back home with their late Fathers army. The Queen was elated as she was seen in the market of Bami, assuring the people that Bami will become great again. Inside the shrine of the palace of Bami, Kaka was kneeling there when the princess walked in. He looked at her, got up, held her and made love to her right in the shrine and that was how they produced the son who later conquered and became the new father of the great Bami Kingdom. The Son renamed the land of Bami to Randa and Randa existed for centuries. ****************** Before the second appearance of The Ring there existed a kingdom named Randa. Randa was a neighboring kingdom to a land called The Land Of Ifite. The land was occupied by ancient people called the ifites. The Ifites were dreaded people and they had no nose; That had been a bafflement to the other kingdoms. "If they had no nose how do they breath?" Dan asked his mother that night but the poor woman wanted to sleep. "Dan please rest" she said and positioned her mouth to put off the light from the lamp but Dan wouldn't have it. Dan was from Randa. "Mother I want to hear more stories about the ifites" He said and the mother paused as someone who was eavesdropping. Then at a point she looked at Dan sternly and said, "If you asked for a bed time story I would gladly tell you but the ifites are not stories. They are demons and I whisper it because the name wakes the bad spirits of the night. So sleep my son" She wanted to grace her bed again but Dan was persistent. "I want to hear the story mother. Tell me the story of the ifites. I am not afraid of any demon or spirit. May be one day I will go to the land of Ifites" He said and the mother slowly stood up and began to pace. Dan wondered why but kept staring at her.
