In the ancient and evil land of Ifite and inside the shrine of the ruler of Ifite he was seated and whispering with a man with no eyes and no hands. After a while he stood up and went to the mirror hanging on the wall of his chamber and brought it down. He sat back with the mirror and touched the surface and there appeared the face of Dan and Adola. He pointed at the mirror and the man sitting before him nodded. The ruler of Ifite then nodded in understanding as he looked into the space.

Back to the land of Randa, the king was preparing to embark on a journey and he had refused to tell the wife where he was heading to. He picked up his favourite sword and made his way out of the chamber, mounted his horse and two of his bravest men mounted theirs and they made their way to the shrine of the prophetess of Randa. On reaching the shrine they dismounted and the prophetess walked out.
"How dare you" said the king as he approached her.
"I can't continue to go against the plans of the gods" said the prophetess.
"I gave you the ladder you used to attain greatness. The Ifites has been supporting me and I have been supporting you. How dare you prepare another to unseat me" said the king angrily.
"I prepared no one. The gods prepared him" said the prophetess.
"You and I know I can't leave here without killing you. But before that I want to know; did you think I would not find out of your plan? Did you think I would t not find out that you have given your daughter to a man in preparation to go to Ifite and bring the ancient land to ruins? Do you not know that If Ifite is destroyed you and I are down?" asked the king.
"I know all of that but the gods know better and they want Randa to claim its birthright which you selfishly sold to the Ifites" said the prophetess.
The king was so filled with rage that he swung his sword at the prophetess and it cut her on the shoulder. She fell and blood ran down her arm. The king approached further and stood before her.
"Dan Anoshi and Adola will be your nightmare and they will restore the glory of Randa. The only man alive who has seen Anoshi and remained alive is Dan Anoshi. He will be your doom and my daughter will be the weapon he will use. Mark my words; if you kill my flesh you will only be helping my spirit to go and be with them" The prophetess started laughing. She laughed so loud that the anger in the king became uncontrollable. He cut her down and she bled to death in front of him.
The king mounter his horse and said to his men; "We must run to Ifite and warn the ruler of Ifite of this new development" Just as they were about to ride, the same man with no hands and no eyes in the chamber of the ruler of Ifite appeared before them. The king and his men were terrified as he spoke to them. "Fear not loyal king of Randa for Ifite will not tremble over this prophesy. There were times when men feared the gods but no longer in the land of Ifite. The god of destiny should be aware that mere men have also become gods. We are waiting for the one the god of destiny has destined to stop Ifite. We are waiting for this saviour" he started laughing and this gave the king of Randa a big hope as he smiled and rode back home with his men.
*************
On a pathway heading to Ifite were Dan and Adola. Adola was walking behind him and murmuring. Dan stopped for a while and turned to look at her and she stopped.
"What are you murmuring about?" he asked.
"You look so sure of what we are doing but you aren't doing anything" she complained.
"What do you want me to do?" asked Dan.
"Ask the god of destiny where to find bush meat. I'm hungry" said Adola.
"The gods cannot find a wife for you and equally find a bed with which to lay the wife" said Dan.
Adola hissed and sat at under a tree. Dan sat beside her and was about to say a word when they began to hear a growling sound. Dan jumped on his feet and so did Adola. They waited, looking around. Just then a huge lion emanated from the tick bush in front of them and began to walk majestically towards them.
"I have never beheld a beast before" Adola sounded scared and Dan took a glance at her. "My weapon is saying this?" he said.
"What are you saying?" she asked but Dan shook his head disappointedly and focused his eyes on the red eyed beast. It wasn't Dan's plan to run from the beast but at that point he needed to run and Adola had to know how to run too if she wanted to stay alive.
"We are going to run" said Dan.
"What? that thing will eat us alive. We can't run as fast as can. Can't you think of another plan?" asked Adola.
"Let's fight it. I have a plan" Concluded Dan and they began to go round the beast. The beast roared and positioned himself to pounce. Dan first advanced with his sword and the beast's eyes caught his clever moves and dodged his blow, using his left claw to draw deep lines on Dan's chest. Adola saw this and her heart skipped. The beast made his aggressive way towards Adola. Adola ran. The beast began to pursue her and Dan began to pursue the beast. The chase continued until they were before the cliff top. Adola stopped and looked back fearfully. The beast had stopped and was now making his way to her slowly and cleverly. Dan had hid behind a tree and watched. The beast had noticed him but focused his eyes on Adola.
Suddenly Adola closed both eyes and waitied. Dan could not begin to imagine what was going on in her mind. Why on earth would she close both eyes at that point. Dan was about to distract the lion but the lion had decided to take the opportunity of Adola's closed eyes and tear her beyond recognition. It advanced with speed, going for her face and Adola fell flat on the ground, giving the beast a clever dodge. The lion fell over the cliff. Dan rushed to watch it smash itself on a rock before falling into the river. Dan stood there looking at Adola with a lot of questions in his lips.
He helped her up and she was dusting her cloth when Dan raised up his head and saw a handful of strange looking men sitting on their horses and glaring at them.
"Who are those?" asked Adola.
"Those must be the Ifites" said Dan, without removing his eyes on them.
"What do we do?" asked Adola.
"We stand and fight" said Dan.
